No, the depression happened because the government mismanaged a recession. They started printing money and inflation skyrocketed. Ron Paul wants to move us back onto a sound money system so that our dollar can recover from being only 4% of its original value.

The Depression had it's beginning in 1929 ..Government doesn't create ANY wealth,they confiscate it and redistibute it to rich insiders.Mostly 1929 was a culmination of the Fed Reserve Act from 1913 .
