Ravers are in it for fun, for an escape of regular day-to-day jobs that constantly undergo in today's society. It is much more than a hobby it is a lifestyle. Ravers respect one another, I don't know why some of you say such horrid things in the comments below about Ravers. Maybe it is simply because you simply like living your life so simplistic, and that is fine. But don't believe Ravers are weird because we're not, we are respectful, love to have fun, and are in it for EDM music. P.L.U.R.

As I look at the first page of comments, sure there's a "fuck you" but there's also "I'm a raver but I still found this funny" and "Your stupid...ravers kick ass!" and one about how it's not rave, it's techno. Don't worry though - the guy in the video isn't really a raver, but rather an actor hired by an advertising company to dance to the sound of a car alarm, as part of a joke where the carrying point is that to an outsider, rave music can be indiscernible to noise.

@BMercury15 There's a big difference: Techno is artificial, monotonous computer noise cheaply made, as Polka is real folklore, an old Central European dance originating in the middle of the 19th century in Bohemia, derived from the sounds of traditional farm equipment. Hip Hop and Rap are really danceable grooves, but above all, a great expression tool for people in urban ghettos, some lyrics are really amazing and intelligent, Rap should be the papers from the streets. Techno is just garbage.

I know there are subgenres with melodies and more elaborate work, but mainstream Techno is always the exact same thing, and by saying there's nothing behind it, I mean that in certain tribes, past or present, even the beating of a simple piece of wood, is made by humans, it is not sterile and 100% precise like a simple pattern repeated over and over and generated by a computer.It is not human.
@SimulacronX Mainstream anything - food, music, movies - are as much as possible of what appeals to the lowest common denominator. That's what mainstream means. Most people will like it.
And I think you will find that even the most base and uneducated tribal can appreciate an even rhythm. There's nothing extra good about "organic" mistakes, just like there's no additional quality to listening to dusty old vinyl records with scratches on them.
