I've heard the alarm once because a guy slammed the weights down and he wasn't even a "lunk". He apologized and then they let him stay and keep working out. It depends on what location you workout at which means if the employees are douchebags well...they were hired out of YOUR area.

I go to planet fitness, I've lost 60 lbs in 3 months and gained much muscle. It's not the gym, it's the people that go. I only chose this gym because it's 24 hours. However they have all you need to lose weight and get buff. I see many "meat heads" come in. They seem to like it. maybe not all PF's are alike but this one allows a little bit of grunting. Just not yelling and whatnot

Maybe you should be the one not judging others. I'm one of the biggest in my gym but I do not judge beginners or even give unwanted advice. I've heard the alarm once because a guy slammed the weights down and he wasn't even a "lunk". He apologized and then they let him stay and keep working out. It depends on what location you workout at which means if the employees are douchebags well...they were hired out of YOUR area.

I don't get why people get upset about being kicked out. It clearly says in the papers you sign the terms and conditions to the gym. The whole point is that people who are not athletes are comfortable going because they don't have the perception of body builders walking around looking at them like they're nothing but fat slobs. I go to planet fitness, I've lost 60 lbs in 3 months and gained much muscle. It's not the gym, it's the people that go. I only chose this gym because it's 24 hours. However they have all you need to lose weight and get buff. I see many "meat heads" come in. They seem to like it. maybe not all PF's are alike but this one allows a little bit of grunting. Just not yelling and whatnot

I don't blame him. Planet Fitness is such a joke. How can they not allow grunting, dropping weights, etc.? The dropping weights may be understandable but the grunting is natural and it prevents a person from bursting a lung or getting a hernia when lifting heavily. Plus if the point is to keep it a quiet and friendly environment by preventing grunting then why the fuck do they have a loud alarm that's louder than the actual grunting?
