  • deixa de onda, isso e um porco.

  • First off, how is this not confidential? You can't tell who it is or even when it was filmed. Secondly, people laugh in the operating room all the time. You're just asleep when it happens.

  • lol I've been in many surgeries! Believe me when i say the whole thing isn't always usper serious... They stand there for hours and laugh and joke around to get through the time, sometimes music is playing. But they are serious and they get the jobs done.

  • NO such a thing called HIPPA in the Philippines.

  • OH DAMN!

  • this is cool, did you ask your patient lol howd this video come about? im want to be a medical examiner and in 2 years i start med school(:

  • Patient's privacy? What about it?

This video is a violation of a basic right of a patient.

Would NOT trust these kind of doctors, nurses, surgical team.

  • @thirdy18

Why exactly is this a violation? It's posted for educational purposes. You have absolutely no way to identify the patient. I see nothing that violates HIPPA.

  • basically bc even though there are no identifiers, the patient did not give consent for you to have video'd this. it's called patient autonomy. the same as if you were to practice intubations on a newly deceased patient. seemingly harmless bc they're not aware, but they also did not give permission.

  • @bolonypwny : You see, whatever you do to your patient, a consent must ALWAYS be secured. In this case, even if its for educational purposes, a written consent (or at least in the video, a passage saying that consent was given) was shown. Furthermore, I believe that the patient is unaware of the video.

  • poor thing. where's the patient confidentiality in here? definitely would not trust these kind of doctors.

  • @merliot11 fucking liberals

  • inang ko po mga pinoy.......... cge show the americans what we can do with little equipments.... GO PINOY

  • dude!! Dude!! DUDE!!!! woahh it moving!

  • i wish i have chance to c this surgery

  • this is not allowed. your violating d right of ur px..did u obtain consent from him or her??? and d worst part is dat, u posted it hir in youtube.. if ur a doctor..dpat alam mu yan!!

  • oh my god ... how come they have that air conditioner ! talk about sterility .. this can't happen in operating rooms ... so sad.

  • hello, thank you for your concern about the sterility of the OR, however that operating room is the one that is functional.. The important thing is that the patient survived the operation and is now living his life normally.

  • That is awesome

  • thank you, that is the same reaction ni had when we first opened the patient.

  • Cant say the same for the patient. I guessing your a resident since I doubt a intern. Are you in Vascular or Cardiology

  • yes i am a surgical resident. im guessing your specialty is also in vascular surgery

  • LOL no dude Im Pre-Med, I thinking of going into surgery but my first choice is emergency medicine.

  • okay.. ER medicine or Surgery are good choices. Good luck.

  • last few days I got a needle straight to my heart it doesn't hurt, because I'm afraiad that the needle will break so I pull it out, does that will let the heart weak??

  • i dont think it punctured your heart directly. because before getiing to your heart it has to pass thru several layers, like your skin, subcutaneous layer, muscle and etc.. so dont worry i think you have a long life ahead of you. :)

  • i have done more than 1000 thoracotomies coz i am a thoracic surgeon

  • good for you!

  • This has to be a large animal. Or the pt has a serious cause of Cardiac Tamponade. That heart is just HUGE!

  • this is a human heart. and yes he had cardiac tamponade because he was stabbed in the chest which punctured his right ventricle.

  • @hannieflor so how'd they fix the puncture wound w/ the heart banging around like that during the procedure??

  • i had this operation done 6 years ago at the age of 27. can anyone tell me if they have been left with much nerve damage as i am always in pain.

  • this operation was done on a trauma patient. He was stabbed on the chest which punctured his right ventricle causing a cardiac tamponade. what was the indication for your open thoracotomy?

  • cute!!hahaha

  • Only in the Philippines!

  • hi grenouil, it IS A HUMAN HEART.
