  • I am really excited! I can't wait :) I love my instrument and can't wait to get better and learn more!

  • 6 flats? 8th notes? This sounds hard. You are really good! Is Mr. Shop mean? (I am gonna have him in two years)

  • Schopp is really tough at first, and especially on the freshman to make sure they're serious about doing band and not just there to goof off. But he will teach you more about your instrument then you'd think possible. He is one of the best teachers at that school, in my opinion.

  • oh mai! sry but ur freaky looking

  • I know you're on, or were on, one of K's ensembles. Jazz, at least, is a listener's art form. You can't be a truly great player if you don't listen to other jazzers, the greats at least. It's not cheap, just taking another perspective.

As for classical, it can't hurt to listen either. Helps for period-accuracy, etc. You never have to play it just like you heard it, afterall, and listening to other performances can give you ideas as to what NOT to do as well as what might be wise to do.
