should i download the new 2.2.1 software that just got came up when i got on itunes or will that mess up the jailbreak when it comes out?

I think it is, since he posted saying the video about the redsn0w demo was coming on sunday, and it did. Wooo, so hopefully he's right, and everyone can jailbreak their iPod Touch 2G's. Woot.

Do I download redsn0w onto my computer then use it to jailbreak an iPod touch (like with QuickPWN) or is it done differently?

When released with I have to do alot of it manualy or will it be easy (as easy as QuickPWN)

The actual redsn0w code basically takes out signature checking so that kernel can be authorized to run, because even if you have a jailbroken file system, the Kernel and the iPod as a whole will not allow it to boot because the data signatures are invalid because when you jailbreak the filesystem, you wreck Apple's signature, thus making the boot invalid. So that's where redsn0w comes in, redsn0w will basically tell the iPod that it is valid, thus allowing it to boot whith a jailbroken FS.

Well, it might. I am sticking to my Sunday projection. I think that people will have jailbroken iPod touch 2Gs by next Sunday! Well, that's the hitch. Cydia is 100% working, but Installer has some compatibility issues, so you might have to wait a little more for Installer to work.
