This is one of my favorites. Yesterday Robert Plant sang "Ramble On" at the free Hardly Stricly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park! I was sitting in the hills of Speedway Meadows with my honey video taping it. Sounded great up there! But there were some visual distractions though like the girl who keeps falling and the man who slides down the hill. Funny, though. You can hear me LOL in the background.

Its called "ghosting" it used to happen on old analogue equipment, check out David Bowie "lets dance" album for same - in fact if you listen to a lot of older albums its all over the place. There are some that claim that this was the early use of backwards reverb by Mr Page but I think its the "ghosting" as he really only started employing that effect around the time of Zeppelin II- hope that helps.....
