According to recent commentary, you can, but you have to be particularly careful about crossing the streams. In first player, the original ghostbusters are pros and watch out for you. In multi, it's just you and your buddies going crazy with an unlicensed nuclear accelerator.

apparently this game is set up like animal crossing for the wii, it plays when your not. If a building is being built while you are playing and you dont play for a couple days, the next time you play the building will be built more and if a building is on fire and you turn it off for a while, it will be burnt down the next time you turn it on

As far as I know highlander is still coming out. AnnoyedDragon is correct that Ghostbusters is going to be on all systems but on the ps2, wii, and i think DS will have a diffrent story and grahpics wise be more like an anime or cartoon.

I'd love to see a great Ghostbusters game, but most video games based off of movies turn out pretty crumby, imo. The involvement of all the guys (especially writing credits to Dan Ackroyd and Harold Ramis) definitely get my hopes up, though.

I had heard that Ghostbusters 3 (this game) would have a story based after the two movies. Popular belief around the internet is that since it's in fall it may center around the cartoon episode about Halloween and Samhain (the evil spirit who "started" halloween) If so, that would be extremely awesome!

the game is not based on anything it is an entirely new story written by dan ackroid and harold ramis and it takes place in the 90's a few years after the 2nd movie you are a newly hired recruit working with the original ghostbusters but dont take my word for it check out decembers issue of game informer theres an interview with the developers in there

LMFAO, I am so sick of people throwing Blu-Ray into the console debate. By the time developers will have the know how and efficiency to utilize Blu-Ray to it's full potential Microsoft will be in the final stages of releasing the XBOX 720. Lets face it, unless you bought your PS3 as a HD DVD player you got shafted for a lot of extra cash. The packs will be modified throughout the game by Egon as you progress and make more money....so I've read. The "freeze" beam causes ghosts to essentially "freeze" in their tracks so you can bust them more easily.

I read that Warners are making sequels to some of their old hit movies from the 80s. But the sequels will have a different cast and be straight-to-dvd. Beetlejuice 2 is one and I think Ghostbusters 3 is another. not sure if this is good news or not....
