@blackberryjuice1 just so you know this musical and the movie is based in the late 1950s or early 1960s so back when it was originally written which was in 1957 (first time on broadway) or 1961 (the movie), this is was life was like and many puerto ricans felt this way.

Thank you so much for posting this, I was looking for it since they cut out so much on Letterman and the other TV segments. The choreography in this one was more simplified than the TV version too...interesting.

well to me it was a miss, because: she wasn't karen, i love karen, I had already missed Karen in In The Heights, I bought these tickets soooo far in advance, I SPENT 240 ON SAID TICKETS, and I assumed "oh she won a tony, so she'll do more performances, right?" wrong. It wasnt until 3 hours after the performance, that I ran into Mandy Gonzalez that she told me Karen had laryngitis. Just my luck. All leading up to the performance, i totally psyched myself out and was knocking wood constantly. :(
