  • Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

  • music pretty good

  • The music was too loud, made it hard to hear the commentary.

  • I use transparencies when I burn images onto a screen. They work a whole lot better.

  • was that spray on emulsion?

  • I wanted to respond to your video, You mentioned in the video that A screen didn't expose because the emulsion was to thick, not the case the Screen was underexposed causing the image to fall out a little more exposure time would have corrected that problem.

  • I'm not familiar with newsprint paper.

  • How can you say that that is the easy method?

  • The automatic press requires more set up and adjustments, but it is less time consuming for larger orders. There are new systems that you can use that are more simple now. Check out the fast t-jet.

  • Ah but have you never tried using Newsprint paper, the whole thing can take less than half an hour, than includes Everything!

  • 53100 viewer

  • yeah, that's a good song... but for someone who wants to silkiscren for the first time like me.. too confusing

  • I like the song. What's it called?

  • Aww, I was hoping you would use that auto press, I run almost the same press everyday at work, bit bigger though, with 12 heads. Printing automatic is a beautiful thing.

Cool video though, its interesting to see how another printshop does things.

  • What emulsion did you use on your screen, and how come you didn't expose it in a dark room?

  • i think it was done beforehand

  • Wicked. I love that screenprint process I want to get that equiptment, it would be great fun to do.

  • I loved this video!

  • Thanks for posting this cool video. Nevermind the criticism and keep on doing cool stuff.

  • I studied this for a year at college. Shoulda checked out youtube first :p good video :D

  • thanks for the tips

  • u are a very bright young lady and u are very smart !

  • I love your sign! I myself...am open until 16 O:clock !!!

  • how do i format my art yo 25 lines halftone

  • Nice video, planing on opening business like that as well :)

  • what computer program did you use?

  • adobe photoshop and adobe illustrator

    corel draw also works

  • which one is the cheapest?

  • Cool video. Totally different from the other "straight edge" screen shop videos I watched on here.

  • Please who is the band at the end?

  • mickey mouse operation

  • if you mean we have fun with things, well then you're right! - because what is life, without a laugh? Most people are too serious!

  • stcl3: "mickymouse"?? You must be one of those printers that talks more than does. If i had a dime for every egofied printer I ever worked with I would be rich. I made $12/$15 an hour as a REAL pro. NOW, I build MORE accurate equipment than others and make FAR more for printing at home as well. My operation is 'small'. Yet unique, fun and profitable. So guess how much I/we care about your bad attitude??? Zero.

  • I agree totally with you. People that spend time criticizing other's work should focus more time on improving their own craft. They must be trying to learn something if they're watching videos about screen printing on youtube, right? We all have little tricks that we can share with each other.

  • And besides, I'm just a graphic designer. I made this video as a class project for college. (I graduated a while ago) and my dad has been in a successful screen printing business for more that 25 years, so he must be doing something right. Let's learn from our neighbors instead of criticizing them.

  • good video i am looking to get in to screen printing is the money good

  • we own two automatics. they work great. we can also print pens and any item.

    PromoGator dot com

  • Hey google "Screening Demons". It's a blog on screen printing that my friend just started.

  • Did you use normal printer paper or tracing paper??

  • it's a special paper

  • whats the paper called?

  • acetate

  • you guys use paper instead of the clear film things?

  • they also use a strong uv machine,it goes trough the paper really good

  • acetate paper

  • nice shop....and well equiped

  • awesome love the vibe and the girls is kind of cute.

  • Thanks. That's my dad's screen printing shop he's had for 25+ years.

  • cool music, but i could hardly hear anything they were saying over it :(

oh and a question- do you have to get a new silk screen for every design?

  • Yes, you have to make a new screen for each design. In fact, you need to make a new screen for each color you want to print and align them, unless you use a machine like the t-jet that prints on the t-shirt in full color. It's new technology so the kinks are still being worked out on it.

  • that opening/closed hours sign is freakin hilarious! LOLZ

  • SQUEEGEEBASHERS OF THE WORLD UNITE! Cool vid

    Lee, Harveys Ltd (scotland)

  • very cute. =)

  • you can use halftone dots.

  • Nice video. Hey come check out our video to see some more screen printing videos.

  • you guys rock!!!! hot chick too!!!

  • This is great, it helped me understand - which is important, seeing as I've got my exam in 2 weeks ^^;

  • so what kind of advice would you have for some one looking for a starter kit budget in mind

  • do a google search, a lot of people have written DIY (do it yourself) screen printing zines (booklets), but like i said, its hard without a facility. FOr a couple hundred bucks you can get a small (8 x 10) screen burning system, and that is the hard part. The actual printing with the inks is pretty easy to get teh hang of, but getting a good image transfer without any equipment can be done using the sun, but its complicated. do a google search for DIY screen print

  • Cool video.

Totally different from the other "straight edge" or "Gangsta" screen shop videos I watched on here.

    Nice change!

  • how long does the screen printing last is it a higher quality then using a heat press also how would you do a multiple colour design

  • Nice way to end the day!

  • that was cool. thanks

  • Finally. I've been wantin 2 learn for months now. Thanx 4 clearing up some things for me.

  • That was a sweet video intro to screenprinting, with cool music. It looks like you've got a nicely laid back setup there at Little Oscar's, in a beautiful location near the coast. One technical correction - the exposure unit doesn't really burn holes where the artwork is, it hardens the light sensitive emulsion that covers the rest of the screen: the artwork positive is a stencil that prevents light getting to parts that can then be washed out with water.

  • really helpful.. isn't there a way to automate the printing process? cause it takes a long time to print em by the hand..

  • Nice Video.
