  • Railroad trains and Neil playing, like water and sand this always brings me to tears and puts chills up my spine

    Congrats jack & t up

  • Scanning through my favorites, I came upon this piece and wanted to watch it again. I must say that as highly as I regarded it when I first commented on it....subsequent viewings (one a couple of weeks ago, two just now) elevate it even further into greatness. It captivates me totally and I just think it does an extraordinary job of visualizing this Neil Young classic.

It's one of my favorite videos on YouTube...awesome job again, Jack! I'm going to have to feature this video soon! Thanks!

  • @MetalGuruMessiah That's a high compliment coming from you Jon. I'm glad to hear it moves some people.

  • Is it safe to comment now ? LOL

Love this live acoustic version. And you did some great video works here.

(Comment is late, but your upload has been firmly rooted in my favs for a couple a weeks)

  • @123ThisIsMe Hi Gabrielle, The coast is clear LOL. I'm glad you appreciate the video works. As far as this acoustic version, Neil's poignant rendition is beyond belief. How he comes up with ( writes and performs) this caliber of music seems beyond a mere mortals ability. He is an enigma to me.

  • Jack,

It's great to have two heads,,with 4flowered ears, especially when it comes to Neil.

    Thanks.

    Peace.

  • @rockinroller7 An Ear of a Corny Cony island Dog hears 1,000 times better than your average bear market.

Keep on Rockin' while it's still somewhat of a Free World Ross!

  • @curiousgeorge555

    LOL!

    Great stuff.

    Peace.

  • Back by popular demand! Great stuff and numbers add up to nothin' (Powderfinger). All my life I have gone to the popular sites and begged for thumbs up (I don't see what is wrong with dat?) and I never imagined I'd visit a site with only 400 views but this video made me reconsider. But alas I can't stay and I'm weeping now for I am a true 1%ers and unless this gets 1000 views, I can't come back.

  • @11xzxzxz Do numbers subtract to something if you ave-a-rich uncle? Avarice stand for something right? Av-a-rice cake Mike. Keep 'em coming (unless of course this never reaches a G).

  • @curiousgeorge555 And you keep them coming too just never chickenman pie man out.

  • Very nicely done! Congratulations! Love, love, love, Neil!!

  • @GroovyGranny Thanks GroovyGranny! From one Neil fan to another!

  • Thanks for disabling the thumbs up as we all have had enough of that. Some of the sites seem are so chock full of thumbs up comments for people who want thumbs up approval and get it with lame comments. Me, my lame comments are always geared for thumbs way down by the river so yeah it hurts my disapproval rating which sucks sure but I have to live with it. OK I ache for thumbs down.. it's embarrassing.

  • Also Jack you are the only one it seems who usually has the lyrics and date of recording. But do you know what date this was recorded on? The reason it comes to my mind is I noticed the guitar throughout has a slight resemblance to the song Goin' Back from Neil's Comes a Time. I don't read music or books but I have a cauliflower ear for music. Called2flower .. get it? I don't get it.

  • @11xzxzxz It was recorded at the Paramount theatre Seattle Wa. Jan. 20th 1992. BTW I Called 3 flowers and I still don't get it. Chuckle.

  • @curiousgeorge555 My mistake, I see you had it down .. 1992. No chuckle but you get needled and damage done if you call 1 800 NeilYng.

  • May I say I absolutely agree with Mr 11xzxzxz? :-)

  • Yeah I can see why 68shamoa thinks this song is depressing and this is the most depressing version ever. I guess Neil was shooting for something more akin to "intimacy". Anyway this video of yours is perfect, perfectly depressing at times but in a good way, and a perfect remedy for Neil's blues as your dancing lady helps lift out some of the depression but it's impossible to say what side I am on but she and Neil can drag us over the colorful but blue rainbow any day and send us away.

  • great guitar..the song is a bit depressing...the video is very well done, I like it a lot*****

    Thanks for sharing!

  • @68shamoa I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You're right, the song definitely is not a " let's break out the wine and party in the streets all night " type of song. That is the beauty of music. It runs the full gamut of emotions.

  • Una buena música y un gran trabajo. Gracias por compartirlo

  • @5SUSANA Gracias por venir a ver y escuchar. Estoy muy contento de que te gustaba el video.

  • A strangely disconcerting piece, Jack...in a good way! Captured the mood of the tune perfectly.....outstanding effort. Thanks for posting!

  • @MetalGuruMessiah That is a high compliment Jon. It's gratifying to know that you picked up on the vibe I aimed to get across.

For all those who have not seen Jon's videos I highly recommend you check out his channel.

  • Excellent version of this song (I prefer the acoustic version, rather than the electric of this) He puts so much feeling into it......

Great video to go with it .............. When it comes to different versions, of songs, Neil Young is in a class all on his own ! ~ Brilliant ~ Take care my friend, Geoff

  • @williheckaslike Thanks for stopping by. Yes indeed, Neil stand alone in this respect..I agree 100%.

Take good care Geoff and keep creating!

  • Very creative video! I love it! Thanks for sharing Neil Young too. 8O)

  • @2minstral I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for stopping by. (-:

  • Well another excellent videO from king of all videOs. I hardly heard the song so you better stop with your all too compelling videos. Anything you want to tell us about sexy (did you think we wouldn't notice the bump and grind?) mermaid Pocahontas (a man needs a mermaid)? The ending with rainbow shards of color coming together is so great but not sure what is going on but did I get a glimpse of Neil? Time to go pro bro.

  • @11xzxzxz "The ending with rainbow shards of color coming together" is a painting by ... Marc Chagall called Lovers in the Moonlight. As far as the dancer she remains as much a mystery to me as she does to you. Maybe she's an archetypal figure for the ladies you mentioned.

    Thanks for commenting Mike.

  • @curiousgeorge555 Thanks I looked up Chagall painting and it's a great one. I had only really known Marc's "The Kiss".

  • Awesome upload CuriousGeorge, thanks ;D

  • @BjavaBbotBme I'm glad you liked it BBB. Thank YOU.

  • You really did justice to this lovely tune by Neil. I love it.......very much :)

  • @DejaVuSu I'm glad you liked it Sue. Thanks for stopping by.

  • it's impossible to make it today.....thanks for the rainbow ....one of Your best:)

  • @reliablebow That great reminder...the rainbow! Never to be broken.

    Thanks Michael.

  • great song and vid george

  • @alargedog Thanks for stopping by alargedog. I greatly enjoy many of your vid's.

  • Wow! :-)

The greatness and beauty of Art is just this being so disorientingly, hauntingly, cheering up Absolute. Thank you for uploading your new masterpiece. :-)

  • @pattylibraia I like the words "disorientingly, hauntingly, cheering up Absolute." They seem incongruous at first glance but there is more to the words than meet the eye/mind. Thanks Patty.
