@suegie14 If you don't have a headboard, let it hang above your pillow off of the head of your bed, but if that isn't an option then put it in a braid.

Also gain the practice of leaning sideways when you are in a chair. When you learn to treat your hair preciously and give it "no activity" then your body will do it on auto.

I'm a boy and when I had my long hair cut (thigh-length) I still had my chair and bed habits. I still have my old hairbrush.

@000timtimtimtam000 The first 10 years of growing I used silicone shampoos, it works fine for me, it makes my hair more slippery. Silicone puts a thin layer around the hair, it can cover up damage or protect but it can also dry out the hair. (from what I've heard)

No silicones was an experiment and it worked, after getting adjusted to it, at first my hair was tangly and felt wirey.

Now it looks the same as before and feels a little thicker. it's a matter of testing what your hair likes.

@Cutie8792747 Check out the Long Hair Community, there are lots of tips there to get your hair in good shape and to get maximum growth :-)

The length it will grow is probably also genetic, but some extra care won't hurt.

If your hair is damaged it can be from damaging elastics, blowdrying, dying, curling, straightening....changing your routine could be a big change already.

It's not a BBB, I can't find a good one around here anywhere! It's a simple plain brush with tines instead of hair, I think I bought it at the Body Shop.
