Sure this music sounds like The Cure or Joy Division or Depeche Mode but frankly each of these bands were generally much happier and more positive in their lyrics. Bat cave, industrial, futurepop - You name it, I know it :) She Wants Revenge is a funny one because neither alternative nor post-punk fully describe them. "Darkwave" does, because it has a lot to do new wave (New Order, Psychedelic Furs etc.) and Goth (SoM & most notably: Bauhaus) - That's why you can't call Interpol, Editors darkwave. DoD, CoX, Cruxshadows? yes.
