Lol i can relate to the self esteem thing. I'm a very good looking black women and my man is white, tanned, blonde with the most amazing green eyes and dimples. @sarahrain22, what you're calling a "lighter-skinned" Black is a person who is racially mixed. Even in Africa, where you find someone w/such light skin (generally in the North), it's because they're mixed with the ancestry of a neighboring country (Italy, Spain, Saudia Arabia, etc.)
