I'm not a big fan of part 5. It doesn't feel the same, like it doesn't fit in right with the other songs. Is this actually part 5? Anyways. I think Shing02 and Dj Okawari should get together. Dj Okawari and Nujades have something in good in commen in their hearts.

If you go on the e22.com website (Shing 02 official) you'll learn more about this song and the whole luv (sic) songs. But you're right, though it's not bad it's just not as Nujabes as it should be &-(

What's attractive about his lyrical skills is his ability to blend conceptual lyricism common in Japanese works and apply it in English. English is really straightforward as a language, so when he lays down his lines in an indirect, implicative fashion it really makes you think. Of course, he's also noted as one of the few bilingual rappers too.

The darker vibe for this one was not only for the loss of Nujabes, but because the first luv(sic) trilogy focused on love, whereas whereas 4, 5, and 6 are supposed to focus on loss. A great beat and a deep song.

The other mixes are still dope, but they're just too soft, melodic, and peaceful. You know what makes this one still the best one? It gives off this circus-like feeling of how it shouldn't be taken seriously, like it was a dream, but S02 lyrics keeps the whole context in reality.

You don't want to believe they're really dead and gone, but then again, you want to believe they're gone physically, but still living spiritually.

@DQ15 That's why this one is still my fav no matter how many people diss on it. I lost a friend about 8 months ago in a car accident. It's one thing to be sad losing Nujabes in a car accident, but it's a whole different sadness when it's someone you're always next to, talking to, some who you knew personally.

This beat, the voice sample, it's the only mix that has been able to capture that anger, pain, regret, memories, DENIAL/disbelief, acceptance...that feeling of life goes on, good or bad.

I mentioned in another video that I had finally found the meaning of the Luv(sic) trilogy, after listening to it consistently over a year. "The beat plus the melody's the recipe." The perfect blend of music and words is harmonious and personified as the ultimate human emotion: love.
