@LadybugHPS01 Yes, they look black in this video, but they are really just very dark brown. They will get a little lighter as they grow into adults to a hazel color. Most have lighter eyes when young (you can see better in some of my other videos). Those usually turn the more typical bright golden yellow as adults. But they do have different color eyes. @LadybugHPS01 If you watch the video " Burrowing Owl Slideshow - upbeat", you can really see the different eyecolors if you want. I think their eyes are pretty neat..
@marmiusic I'm not sure, probably close by. I can't remember exactly. Since one of the parents grew up in my yard they were familiar with me. On occasion they'd take off to hunt and leave me and my camera "baby sitting" LOL But they didn't go too far.
