@Laolah so true. but in my opinion it's not just a horror film and is definitely not the grotesque torture porn that many have suggested. it is a very thoughtful film and a very emotionally draining one. the film is best viewed without any prior knowledge of it's plot because it leads it's viewers down a very unexpected, shocking, and ever-changing narrative.

If a hand held weapon knocks a human target back a certain number of feat, then it would mean that the force would also move the shooter in an equidistant amount of space in the opposite direction. Thats why when you see a human shot at close range with a scatter gun in real life they just crumple to the ground and no one flies anywhere.
