@088mandi ...Somewhat. We are still left with a stupefying amount of plot holes...but that captivates an audience expecting answers, unfortunately for the same reason monotheistic religion exists. If you knew what happened to you after death, why subscribe to monotheism. Both refused to explain key plot points. And while the stories were fun to read...ultimately I was let down, much lest by 'Lost', because of their creative liberties in an ensemble holistic attempt to tell a story.
@Tommy21797 Walt did, they let him stay in America, remember, But michael felt super guilty and then ben/bearded jack started to recruiting to go back etc. etc. that seasons a blur to me too. anyway, michael was working on the boat. the one that exploded, he also reappeared as one of the "Whisperers" near the the end of the 6th season. so yeah he dead.
my theory is: what if the whole show is pergatory, and the reason it ended with him dying was because he had to keep reliving his errors in life. The island truely was hell and this was his eternal suffering by constantly experiencing shit over and over again. I remember early in the show someone says "when the plane crashed we all died." what if thats true and they are all just ghosts trying to find their way to the real after life?
what if when jack at the end when he closes his eye hes wearing the suit he wore in the beginning then it showed him opening his eye and the island had reversed time and it was the beginning again
This tv show impacted me in ways I will never fully be able to put into words. Jack's opening & closing...alpha & omega...the ghosts of his past exercised, his soul burned pure to gold, he is able to let go, and finally pass-on.
I have to say... While the Lost ending wasn't what I wanted it to be. Maybe a lot of questions were unanswered... But no TV ending is more beautiful than this. No TV show can match the calibre and story telling of Lost. Everything was just perfect. My favourite TV show ever.
I simply love how jacks eye opening is the beginning and the end is his eye closing. Jack is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end,( he will give unto him who is athirst a drink from the fountain of the waters of life freely) I'm not sure that's the exact biblical quote, but you get my point
@milocat yeah that's what I thought... but doesn't it kinda look like Vincent died next to Jack?... then again, after all that's already happened, that DOES seem a little too depressing.
hey, did anyone wonder what happened with that black guy from lost? Will was his name, or his sons name, can't remember, they had that dog....at the END they all were in that church except them...even thous two brother and sister who died at the beginning , i mean the black guy had an important role,he sold the out, where was he????
@kryssalina I think Michael's soul is trapped on the island for what he did in the past or whatever. Thats how they explained the whispers remember???
@kryssalina Micheal ("black guy") died at the end of Season 4. He appeared to Hurley 4 episodes before the finale. He said there that he still has unfinished business that's why he can't move on. The ones in the church are the one that can move on with Jack (at least, that's how I get it) as you see Ben deciding he's not ready and stayed outside.
I read somewhere that Walt (the son) filmed something for the finale but the scene was cut so they added it as a special extra for the box set.
@kryssalina His name was Michael, his son's name was Walt, and the reason Michael wasn't in the church was he, presumably, was still a spirit stuck on the island. Walt left the island and never returned so I guess it didn't play as big a role in his life as it did for the other characters.
@kryssalina i think it because Walt never died he became the jacob after huley and was never killed, micheal his dad is stuck on the island because he could't move on
@Jaymoore1725 yeah, i have watched lost, but I'm not good with names, that's all....It just seems to me that the writers left a big gab regarding MICHEAL and WALT...but any way...that's way it's called lost, right?
@kryssalina it's cool but trust me if you re watch lost you will understand the mystery behind walt but michaels story was rapped up in season 4 and walts story was rapped up in the season 6 20 minute episode called "the new man in charge". in my opinion i think they answered most of the questions i hope some of this will help you :)
@kryssalina ,watch "The New man in Charge" to find out what happened to 'Walt'. As for 'Michael' im confident his "spirit" was stuck on the island. I forget what episode he was in during season 6, but he confronted hurley and said his "spirit couldn't move on"
@kryssalina You mean Michael and Walt?? lol. Well Walt was either still alive, or had such little to do with the island he just didnt go, and remember, Michaels spirit is trapped on the island; thats all i can guess really.
@kryssalina Michael. His sons name was Walt. Their dog's name was Vincent. Michael was killed on the Frater. Walt went off to live with his Grandmother or some such nonesense. In the end, I have no idea where he was, but thats what happend to him.
@kryssalina His name was Michael and his sons name was Walt. Walt is still alive but Michael died. Hurley sees Michael's spirit on the island in the last season and he says that some spirits are trapped on the island because they are not ready to move on yet and walt I don't thnk was there because his dad wasn't. Also after he and Walt got off the island, Walt gave Vincint to Shanon but then she died so he was just wandering around. Then Rose and Bernard take him when they build their house.
@LucasHartley1 I think he wasn't there because he made his "peace" before he died in the boat explosion. Kind of like Echo made his "peace" before the black smoke killed him, because he wasn't in the church either.
@kryssalina Theory is he made his "peace" before he died in the boat explosion. Kind of like Echo made his "peace" just before the black smoke killed him.
@kryssalina That was answered in Everybody Loves Hugo, I believe. Michael is trapped on the island as a ghost because he can't move on from what he did.
@kryssalina He killed Libby and Ana Lucia, so he is doomed to stay on the Island. But for Walt... I think he is still alive, he must be, alive and in charge of the Island.
@kryssalina His name was Michael and his son was Walt, Walt lived, but Michael died before the island wanted him to so he wasn't ready to leave because of unfinished business. That is also why Eko and Ana Lucia weren't there. I know the actor who played Eko refused to be in the finale unless there was a shit load of money involved, but that way it also makes sense as to why some of the cast members weren't there. This is explained when Hurley talks to Michael, who is trapped on the island.
In the final season of Lost we see some people that were involved in Lost, but they don't take them with them into the church at the end. But when Desmond pays off a police officer, who was on the island(i cant remember here name, Hurley asks "Are we taking her?(her=police officer) Desmond says "No, she isn't ready yet". So I assume they are planning to take everyone, but not all at the same time. So most likely they didn't leave anyone out.
Jacks body decomposed int eh place that he bleed to death, which also happened to be the same place that he started "really living" when he first crashed on the Island.
Jacks soul however, when to that Purgatory-like place in "The End", but he had forgotten how he died, so he "lived" the way he would had done if he hadn't crashed on the Island in the first place.
In an alternate ending Bernard and Rose followed Vincent they found Jack and helped him.
