u did an amazing job on that song and its great thing how u made the video as a tribute...i wish i had only seen it on sept 11 so i could have posted it on my fb
Thank you very much for this video! My Cousin worked in the twin towers. Thankfully that day he was 15 mintues late for work and when he went to walk through the front of doors of the 2nd tower the first plane hit. He lost many friends that day. This song cover was amazing!
man, amy your voice is awsome, ive heard this song so many times so many ways but acapella, by you is the best so far! thnx for the remeberance and the amazing song! keep it up!
I was at work in 2001. It was scary. We thought at that time the world was going to end. People did not know how to react to it. Tears, Fear, Shock or just kept working hope it would be over. Thanks Angel for doing this song. I know your heart, you are a beautiful person and always are. Some times it takes time to sink in what we need to do. But we must all be proud we live in a free country, for it was earned with blood and the deaths of many heros. That is why we are still free. LvNick fr Mi.
God bless u,Beautiful Voice,im a christian as well ,thank u for this video and the beautiful song as well im a proud American even thou USA does have problems, but we still have to stand by her and defend her like the song say,hey we dont live in a perfect world.but im looking forward to Gods kingdom, which will be perfect,at the time of the world trade center i lived there in manhattan,im born and raised there, but i relocated to Pa,but i luv my NYC thanks again for the song : )
amazing... ure voice is so pure! i remember coming home and being angry that arthur wasnt on the telly... seems so petty not but i was 6, im not american but im proud of the way they acted and how they still act after the tragic day! xx
I was thinking that same thing. She would definitely get far in american idol. She has the looks, and definitely the voice. Simon (If he was still on it) would be like absolutely brilliant. Lol
I expected fireworks toward the end lol but seriously, I love it :) it's good to know that despite all that has happened there are still loyal Americans & just people who care -3
Not sure why I didn't see this the first time around. I'm glad listening to your 3 billion minute vlog made me double back to your channel to see if I had missed anything :).
This video is just beautiful. Singing a Capella was perfection! I loved the simplicity of it, I was getting goose bumps. You have an incredible voice Amy, and I love that you are using it to inspire and help. Oh and ps you are really pretty too :)
everything about this is just beautiful <3 I know this video isn't meant to be about your voice but I need to tell you that it sounds SOOOOOOOO good... the emotion and the meaning behind your singing is also stunning!
This is the first song of your voice that I heard and since I've become a huge fan of yours. I can't quit playing this song. Over and over I replay. And I fall in love with you each and every time. I posted this video to my Facebook Yesterday.
I remember being in class, and seeing it on tv. We watched the news daily at my elementary school. I come from a military family, so i cried that day, and have every anniversary of the day.
@TheCrimsonConspiracy : ( I found myself really upset this year actually, crying & crying.. and I hadn't done that before. I'm so happy you liked this video <#
Amy Acapella!!!! (should be your stage name) Amazing, Brilliant, Beautiful!!
I remember listening to Howard Stern that day, and thought it was one of their bits. I started to laugh, thinking man that was wrong. Then you could here in their voices it was no joke... So So Tragic and sad.
Bless the USA and the US Military that protects our freedoms!
That performance sent shivers down my body. Beautiful cover, wonderful :) They say that strength can be drawn from song and music. I believe it, because every time I hear your singing I feel as if I could move mountains. <3 Fantastic singing Amy :)
Ten years ago i found myself outside my new home in the USA. It had barely been about a month since i moved to this country when 9/11 happened.
I didn't know how to speak English and i found myself so confused watching the tragic event on tv. & as time went by i slowly started to learn more and more about this horrible day. I can't read or watch anything about 9/11 w/o tears streaming down my face. & even though i didn't loose family on 9/11, it still it hurts.. im sure many feel the same. </3
I just thought you should know, your video is like the second video that comes up when you search "God Bless America" (: Good job Amy, and thank you for honoring our country.
I was in middle school when it happened. No transportation was functioning, not even school buses. My parents walked 100 blocks uptown to where my school was (East 90s) to pick me up from school.
Woooow, you're not only gorgeous, but you can sing, and sing a cappella, I just put a video up of myself singing this song, didn't come out quite like this :/
My friends dad had a meeting there that day, thank god it was rescheduled. My prayers go out to all the families that lost someone. They are with God now and looking down on you
I was working in an ER in an upstate New York hospital. We were put on high alert because they expected thousands of injured to be shipped all over the area, but as the day went on and no one came, we realized, there were no survivors after the towers fell...

10 yrs ago, I was a decorated peace officer with a Sheriffs Dept. in Texas where I have lived all my life! The Judge and Court Reporter that I protected, who are my best friends watched this event on T.V. As we sat in tears and disbelief, I found myself calling each and every family member to tell them I loved them. As no one knew what was to come from that moment forward. I have since resigned from the force due to dirty politics, I took an Oath to Serve and Protect the Citizens, put MY LIFE
you have a beautiful voice..very nice tribute..makes me wanna cry :'( my prayer goes out to all those who lost their dear lives, and their families <3 God bless you and God bless the USA, and remember, they're in a better place so look up. And to the people who disiked this, you have no hearts!
I live in Vienna/Austria (Country of Mozart ;-) and so it was afternoon here at the time of the crash. I heard it at my work, was running to the next radio and listening to the news. I could't believe that situation and as I had understood finally, my first thought was: "That can be the beginning of the 3rd world war". It was the second time in my life, I had really a fear of the future. What we need in this world is much more tolerance and respect!
I think I was in school, 1st grade. My teacher got a call on her phone and she turned on the news. It was scary because most of my family lives in NYC.
I was in kindergarten.I barely remember, but the things I do will forever stay in my heart. I, I lost my father that day.Growing up w/out him has been the hardest thing. Even thou his lost left me so much pain I'm still standing tall. His lost gave me strength, but he is still my main weakness. We are the Morocho Family. We were part of history, history that hurts. 9/11 For sure We will never forget this life changing day. At least I know I won't x3
@DespicablezxD You are an amazing strong person, so as your father.. He is a hero. You should be proud of him, he is in a better place right now. He would have wanted the best for you, for you to be happy. My prayers go out to you and your family. I wish you the best.
I was sleeping when it happened. When I woke up, I woke up to a new world. This attack did not destroy my family's spirit. My sister went to study there less than a year later.
Great job! I was in 1st grade when it happened. I remember watching it on the news in the classroom. I saw the 2nd plane hit the World Trade Center. I had nightmares that night. I still remember it as if it happened yesterday.
I am just one of so many that responded on September 11th and on Sept 12th at 0200 I walked into what seem well ****. I posted a video about my ten years
For some we are not as far a part as we may seem. please on
9-11 remember those we lost and remember the America we became in the
days after. All I have told you about is those days after the event and
how I felt. I thank you for all your responses and please keep those in
I was in 3rd grade, just like you. On lockdown, and remember one of the classrooms having the news on the TV. Remember my grandma calling us because she was in downtown Pittsburgh and they had to evacuate because flight 93 that crashed in Shanksville was coming our way...I remember every single detail of that day.
I was at home I didn't go to school that day, since my dad came home early. My mom, dad, and I were asleep while my brother was awake. all the sudden we heard him shouting to us get up a plane crashed into a building in New York.
As always Amy, You give me goose bumps, Miss your voice girl.
i went to nyc in august, and it was just so unreal seeing ground zero and imagining what it was like that day. i was just a little kid when it happened, but i know i will never forget it.
i almost cried watching this! its so beautiful, and powerful, and just thank you for doing this :) people think that just because 10 years have gone by, we should just forget about it because it was so long ago, but this video has especially shown that 9/11/01 will never be forgotten. thanks amy, beautiful singing :D
@heymattpeterson : ( I didn't see it. They're airing the footage at the same time tomorrow that it happened 10 years ago..... it's going to be crazy and scary to see. It still is after all these years : ( thanks you Matty <3
I'm not American.. Northern Irish :) But this video and song is amazing.. All Americans should be proud that you are singing this for the 9/11.. Was such a sad day.. My prayers and thoughts are with every family that lost a loved one that day.. Your Amazing Amy <3
@rebecca04kewell awww thank you so very much <3 Americans weren't the only one affected that day... all humans in general were. Amen to all the thoughts and prayers for all the families <3
this gave me goosebumps, your voice and what you wrote. incredible. i was in first grade it one day in my life that i remember like it was yesterday. rest in peace to everyone who lost their life on that day. God bless America
@kefmusic Thank you, so very much. <3 Seriously, it's one of those moments that are unforgettable. Even being in elementary school we all still remember. RIP, and amen <3
@goldiloks82 I actually almost disabled the likes for that reason when I uploaded it... not because of me but it's soooo disrespectful to that day and all the people affected by it
I was in fourth grade. We were in the middle of math when a teacher came in bawling her eyes out and I saw my teachers face turn white. I didn't know what was going on. We were supposed to get out early that day anyways for some reason but my mom came and got me 2 hrs early. As I was walking down the hall I saw every single adult cry. I was so scared. I came home and saw everything on the news. I didn't understand everything but I knew this wasn't good. I remember looking out in the sky seeing
@SarahBeth921 awwwwwwwwwwwww my heart broke into pieces reading that. Seeing all the adults cry : ( I saw all the jets too and ran inside.... It was so terrifying. 9/11 will never ever be forgotten and that's for sure. My bro was also in 4th grade
@amycolalella Definitely never forgotten<3 So many heroes that day. Every single military personal, every firefighter, every EMT, every police officer, and everyone that was near and helped is a hero. I still pray for everyone who lost a friend/& or a loved one that day. At least one thing is true. They don't mourn the lost alone. They have a country that is here for them.
I like it so much u did a good job i was going to cry because i like your voice it was beutiful and i heard that a lot of times already!!!...

SarahBeth921 5 months ago
@SarahBeth921 awwwwwwwwwwwww my heart broke into pieces reading that. Seeing all the adults cry : ( I saw all the jets too and ran inside.... It was so terrifying. 9/11 will never ever be forgotten and that's for sure. My bro was also in 4th grade
amycolalella 5 months ago
@amycolalella Definitely never forgotten<3 So many heroes that day. Every single military personal, every firefighter, every EMT, every police officer, and everyone that was near and helped is a hero. I still pray for everyone who lost a friend/& or a loved one that day. At least one thing is true. They don't mourn the lost alone. They have a country that is here for them.
