  • this music did not go to waste, it was used in Michael Collins (in which Goldenthal received an Oscar nom for)

  • Good thing they actually used the moby track....its what made this movie for me.

  • @ashourp really? a song made this movie for you?

  • If I was Mann I would have been proud of either ending

  • I love this but I still think the Moby's is better. The problem is that Goldenthal's score makes it too dramatic; the focus of the scene shouldn't be that Dinero's dead and the drama in that, but on the final interaction between Dinero and Pachino. "Told you I'm never going back..." "Yea..." This scene is not only about acceptance and forgiveness, but that these two are the only people who understand each other; that Pachino just killed the only man who understands him.

  • @penroff4 You'r right on the ball with what you said. Still a great ending though..

  • I disagree. This has a much more epic sound to it. Like watching a Greek tradgedy unfold before your eyes. To me, nothing beats an epic sounding soundtrack to a great movie with death in the end...I know it is not for everyone, but it is for me...

  • Moby was better

  • glad they ditched this music. moby killed it!

  • With this music, the scène is bad and différent, because agent and gangster in this film is similary but not with this music

  • ya, the end of alien 3, i know what your talkin about

  • sounds like the scene where John Dillinger dies

  • Reminds me of Alien³.

  • Hi.

This is actually the wrong piece of music.

You've used the funeral music from Michael Collins. While it's the same theme, it is not the exact same composition - that's why it does not fit the visuals at all.

Godenthal wrote the "theme" for HEAT and had to adapt it to fit Michael Collins.

The actual piece that Goldenthal wrote for Heat is available.

    Nice try though.

  • @FilmMusicChannel

where can i find that actual piece Goldenthal wrote for heat? ive been looking for it for months now

  • @FortuneKing24 the ending song wasn't composed. It was a piece by Moby called God Moving Over the Face of the Waters taken from his Greatest hits album because it had a more cinematic build to it

  • Cant beat the og ending.
