would you say this amp is worth getting as opposed to an original jcm800? also do these amps come with el34's or 6550's. would you says its comparable to that jcm sound I was thinking about getting one because of the price and tone. I'm looking to get like an late 80's early 90's tone like fugazi or smashing pumpkins.

From one Stewart to another, NICE AMP! Vids such as this are making a rather strong case for the CeriaTone 2204's....far more attainable than the genuine article and doesn't seem like there's any negatives to it.
I keep coming back to this video. This thing sounds incredible! I have a Marshall Vintage Modern combo now, and I'm thinking of selling it and getting one of these bad boys.
Compared to the actual audio files, it sucks. The audio was re-encoded with the video, then all that was re-encoded when uploaded to youtube, so there is some noticeable loss in quality.

Sounds really good! What do you think of Marshall SL-X?
Also on the Crate cab, what is the backing board on those made out of? MDF like on Marshall 1960's or is it plywood?

The SLX is good, it's meant for overdrive and it's the only all tube jcm900, so it doesn't use clipping diodes like the others.
I believe the crate's backing board is mdf.
