  • dont you also need to wipe down the brander with alcohol first?

  • what kind of bandage did you recommend? cure ad? i cant find it on google. me and my boys are gonna get a group brand before we head out for college thanks for your help

  • i'm a 13 year old rapper, obviously i need tattoos and this is the closest i can get.

so can i do it with a paperclip?

  • @AveriLink no, a paperclip is made out of lightweight metal alloys of tin and possibly aluminum. Both metals have terrible thermal conductivity and dissipate heat quickly. This means that they cool off rapidly. All the heat will transfer too quickly to your skin and will not be hot enough for long enough to make a good brand. You need something made from Iron. I've heard people using metal hangers but even that is not very good. Take the time to do it right. PS you don't "need" tattoos

  • @RandomWorx gotcha. i didnt mean that i NEED tattoos because i rap. i'd take em either way. and as you said in the 4th video, put thought into it

  • @RandomWorx I used the coat hanger method, in somewhat of a different way though. If you take a wire hanger and bend it fast and make the bend into almost a "u" each time you bend it, it works in my opinion for a lot less painful brand, BUT it does not leave the same scar tissue, it leaves more of a flat scar, but it works pretty well over all. When i grow the balls i will eventually use your method, thanks for a good video though.

  • I watched this used a bullet to brand my ex wifes initial off me after we got divorced. I took the bullet off and poured out the gun poweder and when I was heating it with a torch the firing pin still popped, it was loud sounded like a gun went off but noody was hurt. Its a bad ass little round brand and thanks fo this information so I knew how to do it and it actually looks cool

  • This is irresponsible dude, 'emo' kids will try this and they will fuck themselves up.

  • @DrOprahVonPenishat you didn't listen to him at all did you? He has the same reasoning behind this video as public schools ans sex ed- they're going to do it anyway so they're going to need a resource on how to do it properly.

  • I burn myself all the time, i use any metal I can find, feels good, i like the burn.

  • if i heated up a coin as my brand would it come out with all the details of the face of the coin on it, or just a circle?

  • @poopRscoop14 no you wouldn't see the detail because the scarring expands and leaves very little detail at all. I would recommend contacting someone in your area that does branding or to contact a reputable source (ie- church of body modification) and asking questions on the level of detail obtained from branding.

  • I'm a 15 year old girl, I've cut myself over emotional problems, if i can handle that, do you suppose I could handle this? And what would you say the pain level is on a scale to 1-10?

    I appreciate it :)

  • is it safe

  • Wrong you do want a 3rd degree burn so it goes through the nerve endings, or lese the pain will be truely extreem.

  • This is very thorough but now that i just did a brand on myself, i have a couple questions: First - aftercare - I've been keeping it covered but after just one day it had what looked like a pretty good scab. Since then, the curad cover seems to be keeping the wound open. If it's ready to scab over even though it's only been a couple days, can I go ahead and let it? Also, I'm a little concerned it's not deep enough -it went very smoothly. Is there any way to tell if it's not going to scar?

  • Thank you so much for these videos. I thought my friends and I were going to have to learn through experience. Thank you. :)

  • What type of alcohol was that? I didn't hear properly.

  • im emo and scared to do it i have cut myself when im sad or md and i cant do this

  • @funkymonkey5611 this isn't for "emo" teenage kids. Find a truer identity than just some label. Be yourself and quit trying to define a stereotype because you think that's the only way others will accept you.

  • I did my brands with a flower shaped piece of metal and a lighter. it's healthy and i scarred beautifully.

  • @KittyKittyMeeow congratulations, would love to see a picture of it!

  • @RandomWorx I will take one as soon as I can (:

  • @RandomWorx i look forward to seeing it!

  • I bought a wood burning kit it comes with some nifty pieces would this be an okay kit?

  • @Runnersfree hmmm that's a good question. i don't know much about wood burning kits. I have limited experience with branding but what i do know works. If the pieces are solid metal and can be heated with a torch and applied with visegrips then you'll probably be alright. Just remember, even heat and even pressure. less is more

  • I ment cheap earing. I have one I got from claires. Idk what it's made of. And what branch of the military?

  • @bonitagirlyy i'd rather not say to much about my military experience. It might not reflect well depending on how others choose to interpret it. However i would avoid the earing if at all possible. The hardest part about branding is finding a good brand. You want something that will hold heat well and consistently throughout the entire surface area of the brand. If you don't get an even burn, applying even pressure, it will heal UNEVENLY and look poor

  • Thanks mate!

  • Hey what can u use as a brand? Is a cheap eating a bad idea? Btw were u in the military by any chance?

  • @bonitagirlyy i'm not familiar with "cheap eating" and you can use almost any kind of steel as a brand. the simpler the design the better. Yes i'm in the military currently

  • i want to know what happens if you cut a design into your upper arm and how to get the scar to go away after ps. dont ask why

  • @JohnyyPriest it's almost impossible to get the scar to go away i wouldn't know anything about carving designs with a scapel

  • sweet man cant wait to get a pentagram in my shoulder

  • Thank you!
