presents the Past as a Prologue to the future exploring the usefulness of military history while illustrating remarkable individuals, leadership skills and contributions made by the USA Army. The Iron Warriors highlights the fact that today’s soldier is required to function in many sectors and expertise levels in our global environment and thus their unique ability to transfer military skills into the private sector job market.
I was there those weeks. The very first day began with a 3 mile run, in full ACU's and L&O gear with second chance vest In south Louisiana Heat. Followed by a 2 hour smoking by an Army Ranger. Only to have to turn around and run back to the barracks, and back to the training site, an extra 6 miles due to a command error. After a short briefing, we were thrown into training. It was 2 of the most intense weeks ive ever experienced, it created alot of unit cohesion.
@juiceis7777777 They train us to kick the door in with our back to it so we step away from the door. This gets the breacher out of the way of the point man, keeps him out of the fatal funnel, and incase the door is booby trapped it helps him keep from getting injured.
Ready to leave the US army for National Guard Detail for you, We are combatives qualified. And my unit knows waht true pain is. Give your best shot for your introduction inti your world.
i dont understand y ppl make fun of guard/reservists.... when deployed, they all go to the same war, just some decide they want to go to school full time while serving
this is my M.O.S Im a bodybuilding going in and signing up this week. Grandfather was CPT for over 40 years.. tired of people telling me i don't know what im talking about when i have somone to ask right there. GOING TO M.O.S Military Police After Basic. Doing First Guard Drill This Weekend Or The Next One. Wish Me Luck.
These guys are CHEWED UP! *ONE GUY* knows how to do PT? From what I see, they have no idea what MOUT training is, or, I would imagine, its purpose? These guys are all either reps, or the LANG needs some special attention!
I'd let them lead me through the fatal funnel any day!
I disagree with this... When the lady said, training for active shooter events such as Columbine? No. Military shouldn't police the United States. Ever. Period. This is why we have Police and S.W.A.T... This makes people nervous..
@fkknsik Maybe, but SWAT has evolved on its own over the years because SWAT tactics are different from military tactics. You don't want to shoot what is on the other side of the door unless it is a threat to you or your teammates. In the military there generally is a expectation that what you are sent to generally will be a hostile and to shoot on sight if armed. Police here at home cannot do that.
for some reason the thing that is worrying me most is the ASVAB test. I would really want to get into mechanics and maintenance but I just don't think my scores would be high enough :|
While serving any of the armed services is a very honorable thing. As a current LEO I really hope that was the first run at entering and clearing a room. There is going to be quite a lot of KIA's if that is all the better they do it. Stay safe.

dont forget that they only do this once a month. Im in the DC guard 372nd MP BN and I would like my unit to be at least trying to train like this.

What you fail to realize is that the building clearing was filmed on day 1. The skills were refined and greatly improved after 2 weeks of training.

SWAT training adopted by the militay? Wasn't it the military that origninally trained SWAT?
