I have had a rear mounted winch as well as front, for five years on this quad and 8 years on my previous one. I find I have used it on the back more often than on the front.
only thing stupid bout this is mounting it so low! it will stay in the mud and water down there- that said there is nothing better than a winch in the rear if you do any extreme trail mud or snow driving!!

Actually my winch was toast, now i have a viper 3000 on the front.
