I fly a 1981 M20J 201 and LOVE my Mooney! Nothing like them. My daughter refers to it as "Jim's other woman". They are the most fun you can legally have with your clothes on and love flying into the pattern having to actually try to slow down for others. Mooneys rule!

Ok first of all what is so lame about a mooney? If its so lame how come mooney holds the record for the worlds fastest single engine airplane. Please tell me why then, do you not like a mooney. My dad has owned one for a year now and all we have done with that plane is fly it. It has never been in the shop except for an annual which only cost us 100 bucks!! @BBFjetboat I know this post of yours was from 2 years ago but I would be extremely afraid of a $100 annual inspection. Especially on a high horsepower / complex airplane.

@iflyc77 Yeah, but those are all homebuilt/ experimental planes. The Mooney Acclaim Type S is the fastest certified piston single.

3 blades are only great for climbing quickly, if you want speed stick with 2. Nice pass!!

2 blades is the way to go. Mooneys don't need speed brakes (aka 3 blade props).
