for those who didn't know: that S 350 was on the market for few months only because the engine wasn't powerful enough for that mercedes...it was replaced by the S 300...I owned that car and it was the most quiet car in the world...it was even more quiet than the successor S320 cdi w220 (I owned this too). Infact it was a big mistake change the S300 for the new S320 cdi...I don't think this S 350 actually makes that terrible noise unless it has 10000000 km...

So I think this is a fake video!!

possible i dont know how to say in proper english but you get this noise on a diesel when the bars holding the engine arent good. they need to be replaced.

I have one S350 TD and the engine noise is totally different from this one in the video! This one must have some engine problems

It is not so underpowered... Ok, it is not fast, too, but for a normal "relaxed" driving it is ok.

Of course the S300 TD (177 hp) is better but the S350 is not so bad, too;)

Maybe that isn't the real merc engine...Maybe it's some kind of "imposter" engine replaced... You know? I agree with you 100%, a mercedes NEVER makes that noise unless it has been treated to the poorest, and even at that, it most probably (30% chance) won't make that noise. ;D That's how reliable a mercedes is to it's full quality.

Yes it is. But now he engine sounds much better. That was the oil engine problems. When the oil was changed... sounds like S320 Benzine :)

Zimny silnik+ szklanki do wymiany+ zalany był jakimś gównianym olejem. Ale teraz po wymianie samego oleju (Mobil) już chodzi dosłownie jak benzyna.
