My cpu is very good and i put my all settings on highest because i enjoy playing with the highest graphics and it didint run perfectly smooth so i decided to do something about it.
I followed your guide and did "highframes" and i ruined my TF2 completly, it's unplayable, my UI is messed, got unplayable mouse accelerations, mega huge lag spikes and the worst graphics. From almost perfect i ruined it to unplayable. I reinstalled the game, but it's the same shit. I dont know what to do, cant play.
@POZDRAW If you do change something about the gameconfig, you can not reverse it that easy by for example just deleting the config again. The gameconfig is still changed in parts. Obviously the better decision would have been to lower the graphics the usual way by lowering AA or filtering mode for example. Anyways its still not to late ofc^^ :D Uninstall the game and remember to turn off the Steam Cloud.
You can do that by right-clicking TF2 go on to properties > updates and check off the Steam cloud box. Reinstall the game, now you should have a clean new version of tf2. If not so u propably have to reinstall the whole steam. Search for "Cleanly uninstalling steam" in google and click the link from Steampowered. I hope this will help you having fun at the game and keep improving ;)=
@freerider3434 Hey man. I fixed my problem already. Reinstalling the game is useless, you will again have the same settings you already had (i know cause i reinstalled TF2 and it didin't work). To get your default settings just write in launch options "-autoconfig", i think it's -autoconfig but im not 100% sure, i already forgot that. Anyway, that simple move did restore all my settings to default. It's perfect now, im playing on highest settings again, not perfectly smooth but playable.
@SGTNAPALM333 tried out Chris's config and m0re's config... in 2fort with chris's config i got 1-2 fps with m0re's i got 5-40 fps for chris's config what i did was copy the config in notepad. then save as to Program files steam steamapps USERNAME Tf cfg . then i set the thing to ansi as chris said and all files. i tested my game with chris's config max frames and still .. 1-2 fps so please help me on how put chris's config properly t... i saw his vid but still i cant understand

One time I used Chris's FPS Configs and it destroyed my computer. I had to reinstall windows to get it to work...
Should I still use this?

Does this stop random crashes, too?
CombineHgrunt 3 months ago
Every once in awhile, on class select screen, I usually crash.
I play 2fort by the way. And I use the configuration with worse lighting.
Help? D:
