@thugie1 But I collect all kinds of action figures, and have the full collections for some 1980's and 1990's toy lines. I wish I had a house to be able to keep my stuff on display. I live in a small apartment, and I have to keep all my stuff in storage.
@RichardDickGrayson My last apartment was too cramped and I couldn't stand all the boxes piled high so I opened 80 to 90 percent of my figures. I was knee high in plastic and cardboard when it was all over. When I moved into a house I bought most of them back on ebay...of course the cards weren't nearly as nice as what I had hand picked over the years.
@thugie1 Wow this collection is awesome sir! As a kid I had most of those X-men and some of the Swamp Thing action figures, that you have there. I own a huge mess of action figures, myself. From what I see in your video, you have mostly Marvel stuff, with some DC thrown in... I'm the opposite when it comes to comic book figures. Most of the comic book action figures that I own, are DC Comics, but with the occasional Spider-Man stuff thrown in.
@thugie1 You're the coolest "Thugie" that I've seen... And good thing that you're not a "Thuggee" instead, because they weren't exactly the nicest guys, in Indian... haha.
@RichardDickGrayson Well that's what I named my cat after but I altered it to make it "cute" for a cat, though he would have ripped out your beating heart if he could have just like in in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Great cat none the less. Done in by the pet food intentionally spiked with melamine to give off a false reading of protein. Its a resin used in plastics and caused many pets like mine to die.
@thugie1 Damn man, sorry to hear about your cat... I own a cat myself, and I could only try to imagine how much you must miss him. Its a shame that the pet food people don't care more, about animals. Then again most food corps, don't give damn about what humans consume (given all the fake crap, that's thrown in the ingredients). So unfortunately we all get screwed in the end....
This is soooo awesome!!! Thank god for you. Should turn it into a museum. I would pay to see all this! Would be awesome! :) I got myself an Age of Apocalypse collection going on. I wanna make a video soon. But man you really got me beat. heehhehe. Love your collection man. I LOVE IT! THank you.
@ThirdStrikeReviews Marvel Universe figures are nice and its a current line. The Toy Biz x-men are still common on ebay and you can usually find a lot that isn't too much more than they sold for at retail.
I like collecting this stuff (I am not poor) but I cant seem to get the money to buy all this stuff. I have an ok collection but dont know where people get the money.
This is so amazing! Thanks so much for showing us. I have a lot of figures too but not in the boxes. I just love these figures so much. So much fun to play with and pose how i want them.
The sad part is you can get any of the x-men and TNMT action figures from the 80's and 90's over the internet now for cheap. The abundant supply means less demand for them and therefore they aren't worth as much as they fucking should be by now. We were young during the 80's we couldn't see amazon and ebay coming.
message me if ur looking for any toys, im trying to get rid of my collection of toys (about 500 - 700 toys all in packages) let me know if ur interested.
@RandomEvilDude It didn't take long to accumulate. I had bought them originally over a four year period. Then opened 90% of them when I had moved to a small apartment and ran out of space. I bought them carded again on ebay a few years ago over a 6 month period. I'm not afraid of being judged. People judge you daily. I'm not afraid of looking ridiculous to some people.
ugh! Wall looks great, but it brought back memories of when I worked for kb toys. Alot of those figures where discounted to almost nothing ( especially those mini marvel steel figures). But good luck with your collecting. Maybe I should do something like that.
my brother in law had a collection just as huge if not larger than yours of various marvel, dc, and image figures that took up every single square inch of a very large room until oneday my sister busted him cheating on her and the next day while he was at work she got busy with a hammer...and u know the rest. to this day he says he would have rather had her cheat on him instead of what she did 2 his prized collection...poor bastard
Wow, that's a serious dedication! Very impressive! By the way, (and this may sound creepy) but I'm the MARVEL fan niece of the St Louie Rams fan at Verizon. My aunt C (I don't know if she'd want me to say her name, she's kinda private) told me to check out your videos. (By the way, cute meerkat video)
Have you ever wanted to just grab one of your wall and open it? I dont think i could live with all those hanging up on my wall i would look every day then oneday i would just open them all!!! lol
The closest I've come to opening them is raking them with my hands while sleepwalking. Also, I fell off a stool while putting some super hero squad figures way up high...modok helped break my fall when I tumbled against the iron man action figures on the way down!
lol poor modok see ide be different ide walk up to the wall look at how cool they look on the wall then rip um off and open them lol but thats just me.
Nice Setup .... i'm surprised to you have alot of the X men stuff from the 90's , but hardly any of the Spiderman 90's figures .... They were some of the best figures back then .
I have all the spidey's except they're opened and many are stored away in comic bags. I repurchased most of what is on the walls within the last year.
I uploaded a swamp-thing video for you. I may have gone a little fast so thru it. There are a couple doubles of figures in there too. I had all the playsets with it but sold them all but one.
Wow...just...wow!! Amazing! After seeing your collection I regret opening the action figures I've gotten as a child. I wouldn't have nearly as much as you have but I would have had quite a collection. This inspires me to start collecting again. Time to hit the flea markets and comic shops!
I opened 90 percent of my action figures because I got tired of dragging them from apartment to apartment carded. I opened them all at one time and was wading thru about 3 ft of plastic and cardboard packaging byt the time I was finished. Years later I ended up bying them all back off of ebay!
