  • "his dislike of smalltown life is intense" i can relate 110% ..smalltown life sucks idk why anyone would want to stay in a small town there whole life..unless your a loser or to much of a pussy to branch out

  • Now, we are talking baddass. Iggy Pop is a badasss. Jesse James was a badass. But there is one Dillinger.

  • @liljgoneman no shit....i had to watch that part twice lol

  • Wow. They blew their one and only chance at rehabilitating him didn't they? A dishonest and immoral legal system makes a petty criminal into a dangerous gangster!

  • @MrWolverine3 he was born in 1903..hes dead

  • @MrWolverine3 he got killed in that chicago shooting..that was him.

  • You got to respect a man that will bust you out of jail.

  • Modell says that only members of the lower classes relate to criminals like this - they know no better because they have no education like the better classes like myself.

  • Now thats a real gangster! Dillinger put in his own work!

  • Jack Hamilton is was my great great uncle. He was in Dillinger's gang and was his right hand man :)

  • @bookworm4212 haha funny mofo

  • @ddspured2h :)

  • Ozzyhead, Ur retarded. If he was sentenced in 25 (starting his criminal career) and he died in 34, then that IS about 10 years. Not 12 months.

  • cool video, thanks for posting it! i think you'd really like the museum of the american gangster - if you're ever in ny, check it out :)

  • He was an innocent man !

    RIP.

  • @vegita100 Please explain, what you mean by Innocent man! Thank you!

  • @vegita100 he did nothing wrong..... hell compared to wall street hell he was a saint!

  • @vegita100 Dillinger was a nice to civillians, he didnt kill many, but he wasnt innocent.

    R.I.P Dillinger.

  • john dillinger was my great uncle on my mothers side, im proud of my family and my heritage but i wouldnt lie just to protect my family name, the guy narrating this doest know JACK $@#% about what hes talking about!!! he didnt hate 'country life'!! and all the comments below make me sick to a certain extent!!! my great uncle JOHNNY as my mom would call him was a MURDERER!! he was responsible for the killing of at least 2 prison guards and 1 police officer! lets not forget those victims!!!

  • @ozzyhead73 Ok go to bed kid nobody believes you.

  • first of all dillinger GREW UP in indianapolis, his father moved his family to MOORESVILLE INDIANA in 1920 when he was 17 because his father thought the BIG city was corrupting his son!!!!! in 25 he was sentenced to 15 yrs for robbing the local grocer, he got out in MAY of 33 after his father got 1800 people to sign a petition for his release, he robbed his 1st bank in july of 33 and was killed in july of 34! he only had a 12 month criminal career not 10 yrs! he was my GREAT UNCLE!!!

  • @ozzyhead73 congratulations you made the list of the 3million other hopeless people or lonely children who have managed to claim they are related to somebody famous.

  • I like how people get all hype and excited "omg screw you all he didn't kill anybody" and as much as I and most would like to believe that, but the bottom line is, YOU DON'T KNOW HIM, YOU DIDN'T KNOW HIM, SO YOU COULD NEVER KNOW FOR SURE.

  • Yeaah' he was against killing people, besides cops. If you werent a cop, you didnt have too fear him.

  • John Dillinger might the most fascinating of the High Profile Criminals in America which is saying something

  • they need to make a better movie about John Dillinger tahn Public Enemies. it was a good movie and all but it wasn't very powerful. like if any of u have ever seen The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. they need to make a John Dillinger version of that. lol.

  • @calebinoutlook ever read the book? Fucking brilliant

  • @bigbadreddog Public Enemies? naw. i kinda want to though. except i was hoping it was just about him but its about a bunch of gansters from the time. im not saying theres anythign really wrong with that.its just i was hoping to a book completely about Dillinger.but i might read it later. im reading "We Were Soldiers Once... and Young" and then im gonna read "Jesse James THe Last Rebel of the Civil War". maybe after that. but i read kinda slow. lol

  • He said, never again would dillinger trust anyone but himself! Then why did he trust that dumb whore who set him up???

  • Dillenger was that dude

  • See my collection of original dillinger related newspaperson by going to facebook and typing into the search John Dillinger Gangster Newspapers

  • why was John Dillinger so hot?

  • john dillinger ftw!!!

  • My great greatmothers name was Theresia Dillinger

  • @XIPM3 ..... by sitting behind a desk and getting 5 of his men to do the dirty work for him.

  • @yakidk89 brains over brawn baby.

  • @yakidk89 When your one of the most wanted gangsters in america and a public enemy lets see you go out and do your dirty work yourself

  • @yakidk89 well thats the smart way to do it, would you go out guns blazing and trying to be a hero, really Alcapone was in my opinion much bigger he didint have to do the dirty work, he has other people to do it, thats what buissnes is called

  • @XIPM3 all Al Capone did was sit at his desk and have other guys go do stuff for him and have them bring back people who betrayed him then he would just kill them without giving them a chance to fight back. aka. the coward way. John Dillinger fought them fairly.

  • @XIPM3 al capone was nothing more than an idiot fat mafiosi italian idiot he didn't ever do his work himself!!

  • @russian810 AND WHATS WRONG WITH THAT ? PRICK

  • @russian810 that is a boss alcapone did work when he was young and then became a boss then he didnt do no dirt. Get your facts straight before calling him an idiot. He didnt make millions being a idiot like you say

  • @XIPM3 FOOL

  • @XIPM3 what compelled you to come out with that??

  • @XIPM3 Capone wasnt even in power anymore. So how could he fuck this punk up? John Dillenger was the last great american outlaw. Show some respect and he would fuck you up.

  • @canadianswank I agree! Dillinger was the greatest.

  • @XIPM3 Dillinger escaped prison twice by outsmarting the law and those who tried to enforce it . How many times did Capone escape prison? Not once. I rest my case.

  • here at maud where i live one fine day pretty boy floyd dropped into the cafe for lunch. the old timers who knew him asked him. hey charley whats ya doing /???? he said well im going to eat some lunch and then im going to rob the bank. with tommy gun laying on the table he ate then paid then went to the local bank and robbed them. the bank still stands today and looks like it did way back then in the 30s . lol godbless.

  • THE MOVIE WAS AWSOME

  • wtf are you on about? he never killed anyone! there has never been any facts that he killed anyone just because he robbed banks. shut the fuck up ya tool

  • This man killed so many civilians... he was a very sick twisted man may he burn in hell

  • @Tyranid90 "Killed so many civilians" ?....... No he didn't.

  • @yakidk89 he dident kill anybody maybe some cops!!

  • @fuckscammers2009 Yes I know. See the quotation marks?? I was quoting the person who did say he killed them and stating he was wrong.

  • @yakidk89 aa dident see that am soory!

  • @yakidk89 he never kiled anf fucking civiallinas

  • @BoxleyNat Yes I know. See the quotation marks?? I was quoting the person who did say he killed them and stating he was wrong.

  • @Tyranid90 no he on lee kill one civilian

  • @Tyranid90 i see youre point. but with a gang of men with ya and being the famous one of the crew then usually automatically the people blame you for the killings being done. another thing to is when frank and jessie james rode the trail they got the blame for all bank robberies back then since they were famous. and who knows who did the real killings in these gangs. godbless.

  • @Tyranid90

Many many have died, both gangsters and police and some civilians, as a result of what was called "the biggest manhunt in the history of America", but Dillinger only ever pulled the trigger on one man, himself, in self defense. He was actually, so far as gangsters go, you know, allegedly real "tough guys", he was supposed to be pretty darn nice. I don't think he's in hell, at all, and I think people like you shouldn't be so quick to judge that which you know little to nothing about.

  • @Tyranid90 he only killed one person which was by accident and i think it was a cop

  • True age of gangster

  • 14 years for robbing a grocery store as a youth?? I think that sentence and the fact he was not trained or schooled in prison was part of his hardening. What happened to his baseball coach who put him up to it?? Where was his father??

  • i want to be him(:

i think i'm later gonna rob banks to like him(:

iknow i'm not gonna be john dillinger but he's like a father fore me(:

later i'm gonna change my name to sam dillinger:D

    and gonna rob banks to(:

  • @SamDillinger1 if u do that ill join ur gang man i get pumped up when i think of that kinda stuff a good name would be like the dillinger cartel r sumthin

  • @desotowheeler

    no maybe the real name(:

the dillinger gang that was the name of the gang of john dillinger:D

  • john dillinger is the man dude^^

he's the real robin hood(: i want to set he's job further xp iknow there's just 1 john dillinger but i dont wanna be him i wanna set the gang back beceause the arm people dont have enough money and bank robbery is my favorite thing(:

  • @SamDillinger1 Spellling and punctuation are your friends.

  • 14 years, that's a great fucking reward!

  • man i love that trombone, it's trombone not trumpet.

  • that trumpet player sounds drunk lmao

  • @GothChilde6969 hahahahahaha

  • hahahahaha

  • @xARMINIUSx yeah :) i just watched them yesterday wow :) but i like francois besc cus he broke out 6 times lol :) and now he is still alive with his wife

    mesrine got terribly killed

  • @CheY47 yes he got murdered caus they where to afraid to confront him. There is a docu of francois Besse on Stagevu . com

  • @xARMINIUSx Okey thank you :) i ll watch it

  • @GothChilde6969 lol.

  • They wonder why there are so many robberies now in this day and age. No jobs, war, famine, high cost of living in general. Where is the next Dillinger?.

  • @jonquil4000 there wont be one. Criminals these days are only in it for themselves. And even if there are the 'Robbing Hoods' the media has changed. They would never romanticize it the way they did then.

  • You say that like Dillinger wasn't in it solely for himself and his gang. It's not like he was raiding and having his men murder cops and federal agents, then donating their take to orphanages and asylums. No, they kept it and spent it.

People like to think that because he knew how to work with the system and the media and had people fooled by his charm. He built his own legend. People still buy it.

I'm not saying I was a fan of Hoover's brutal tactics, either. But John was no "Robin Hood"

  • @jonpcab Nono you are right. He lived it large. But he did a lot of kind things. Did he donate a lot of money no but he was kind to the poor especially children.

But you are right the most of the money got spent. The difference was that unlike Karpis or Nelson they wouldn't kill innocent People. Floyd was the true "Robin Hood" Floyd did give a lot away. I know many people who benefited from Charles Floyds kindess. I am a distant relative and some members of my family remember him fondly.

  • @jonpcab And to quote Pierpont from his trial "I was only robbing the banks who was robbing the people" He robbed banks because of a brain injury and for revenge of a corrupt banker forclosing on his family farm. Its a metaphor for today steal 50 bucks with a gun and your in for life steal 50 billion with a pen and you get a reward from the Federal Reserve.

  • please join my facebook group depression era outlaws and bank robbers for discussion on John Dillinger!!

  • Naaahhhhhhhh !!!!!!

  • @leek6666

What's the name of your page? I'd join if I can find it.

  • good clip

  • yeah lol.

  • wish he was alive today maybe can take back some of bailout cash we gave to the banks or steal their bonuses. wishful thinking

  • Leave it to a woman to cause you to go Bad,hehehehehehe

  • fuckin right.

  • John Dilinger Public Enemy Number One.

  • dillenger is the shit would have love to rob banks with tha man lol

  • Men such as John Dillinger have nothing but my utmost respect.

  • Only in America! a Gentleman Bandit! He has become a Folk Hero in American Legend!

  • grande cara

  • john dillinger the king

  • i just finished watching the movie a little while ago,

    the FBI were assholes!,

John Dillinger was a gentleman to all who knew him who were closer to him,

he was charismatic and he had an extraordinary way with people,

he made the bad guys look like heros',

    Rest In Peace John Dillinger,

    a.k.a. "Snake-eyes",

    you're a hero to me! ='')

  • public enemies is a great movie but it has so many facts wrong! Lester "Baby Face Nelson" Gillis was killed in November of 34' in a shootout with 2 fbi agents.

  • Can this video be more off. Dillinger was sent to the INDIANA STATE PENN in Michigan City Indiana. NOT MICHIGAN STATE PENN. Also they didnt move to Moorsville soon after his mothers death but years later. And this is just part 1.. WOW

  • i saw the movie and in my opinion,Dillinger is a criminal but a true love symbol..lol

  • fbi killed him like a DOG it was horrible poor dellinger :) lol

fuck the whore who revealed the place where he was

  • they shuld have still deported that bitch haha

  • i believe in real life they did....cause the biography states she died in her native country.

  • sweet she deserved it hahha

  • @CheY47 watch L'instinct de mort and enemy public No1 about the French gangster Jacques Mesrine, also a true story, and in my view, ten times crazier then dillinger ( and D was pretty crazy :-) )

  • he was actually noted for being a very good looking man... so, no, not really.

  • Well, either he had very little competition, or he was unphotogenic! I stand by the "ugly sod"' comment!

  • I saw public enemies last night. lots of guns but there was only about 3 people killed the whole movie. Overall pretty good, but don't watch it if you faint seeing blood. Just because Dillinger doesn't like killing doesn't mean he didn't beat the crap out of a lot of them. The way they killed him is horrible though.

  • <3 John Dillinger, he's my hero.

But wasn't it like sorta that Anna Sage's fault he died or something? (Or whatever her name is) Cause she told the FBI that he was going to be watching the movie

  • Cand Dillinger were different the two can not be compared to one another. They were both very successful in ther respective feilds, Dillinger is a bank robber Capone gangster its like comparing Dan carter to Ranaldo

  • capone was beter

i saw the movie "public enemies" it was the best action movie it was great

  • lol my name is Dullinger -.-

  • Dillinger was better

  • There was an article in our local newspaper about an oldtimer who encountered the Dillinger gang when they came through our town briefly back then.

Basically said the Dillingers cohorts were mean.rude, and scary guys,But Dillinge, though a bit rough about the edges and highly agitated, was actually quite nice and gentlemanly.

  • cuanto bancos robo? a cuanta gente mato?

  • What about Al Capone?

  • the year is 2009. Dillinger still rocks. ha. LEGEND! True Villan.

  • Ive just finished watching Public Enemies twice and now watching the second DVD bonus extras and surfing around reading some historical background on this fascinating person factual larger than life person.

Thanks for putting this documentarry up.

  • watch the original Dillenger with Warren Oates, much better.

  • Oh, yeah your right there is I forgot about that version.

  • Good Old Indiana... .. .

    Crossroads of America.

I live here and love it, Hoosier Country!

  • totally agree jhonny, purvis needed many cops and FBI to sneak behind him and shot him. lame ass purvis

  • Purvis was a punk ass bitch, only way he could kill Dillinger was to sneak attack him and outnumber him... one on one he wouldn't have stood a chance

  • Ah yes"Get along little doggie" as he drove away in the getaway car!!!!

  • ahahahahha that part cracked me up lol.

  • Thank you for honoring the U.S on your page.

    Long live the U.K

  • my pleseure! yes, the USA & UK r 2 great countries, i'm from Malta :)

  • Why did he crush them? What a retard.

  • the fbi agent who killed famous gangsters like john dillinger ended up committing suicide a few years later after the death of dillinger. depressed guy i guess.

  • If I'm not mistaken, I read he had a sort of "little man" syndrome/complex. I'd venture to guess he probably was a depressed sort.

  • he discovered he had an inoperable brain tumour

  • Considering Dillinger was killed in 1934 and Purvis died in 1960 that's more then a few years later. He did however quit the FBI about a year after. And I am sure the cancer he was suffering from had more to do with his suicide.

  • when was this documentory taken place?

  • how did they get this footage and is it real
