  • awsome!

  • 4 people can't afford it ))

  • Just had mine replaced at 2 years actually 1 day before end of warranty, anyway the brand new replacement needs a new cell as it is too drained to take a charge for more than 12 hours and does not catch back up the time. I had not realized it had a Lithium ion cell, supposed to not have a battery!!!!

  • Wow Nice Watch !! Had Some Like This But Sold Out Qucik. Very Populer Item In Store

  • How much was this watch? It's nice!

  • ceh..who care seiko did the useless kinetic..if wait about 1 year dint shake it..when active it have to wait hundred time turn around ? but i prefer in tissot t touch..a watch that have touch screen...thats only cool..somemore can count the high diameter..omg..

  • How much will this cost?

  • i have a casio solar powered G-shock that does the same thing. if left in the dark for about a week, digital and analog functions turn off, exposure to light causes the analog hands to reset to correct time. $70 on amazon if on sale, list price around $120 i think.

i really love the look of the seiko in this video, i only have two from the seiko5 series. $65 and $100-150

  • It will go to sleep mode, if u dont wear it for 24 hours.

  • hi,

how long have you wait until the watch goes to sleep mode?

somebody said at least 6 months, but the seiko's webpage says 72 hours. which one is correct, 6 months or 72 hours?

    thanks...

  • 24 hours will be enough

  • I have one of the same series, but my dream is to own a tag heuer monaco.

  • That is cool I will buy one

  • This video shows how an auto-relay Seiko Kinetic watch can do. It can go into sleep mode for more than a year and just by wearing or shaking the watch, it wakes itself and sets the exact time the moment you wear it! Unbelievable piece of engineering!!!

  • Finally someone answers my question..!!! ha.ha.h.ahh.a.ahha... Thanks for the comment.

  • so nobody knows what that seiko just did???

  • dont get it....what did that watch just do???

    thanks

  • Yeah, really. I don't get it either. I understand watch mechanics, but I don't get what I'm seeing in this vid. Is the watch simply unwound, and is pre-set in automatic setting mode, so when he winds it by shaking it, it just started off in setting mode? Or is it in stopwatch mode? Cool watch, but someone please explain.

  • What you´ve just seen is the Seiko auto-relay system. It´s a revolutionary device which allows the watch to retrieve the exact time just by shaking it when you haven´t worn the watch for a long period of time (6 months at least). In other words, after 6 months these watches go to "sleep" and the hands stop to save energy, but they return to normal timekeeping at the least movement.

  • So, if I understand.... to save unnecessary battery drain, the hands discontinue movement, but the correct time continues in the watches' memory. Then, when the watch is shaken, it wakes it up and the hands advance to the current time?

Neat! What tells the watch to go to sleep?

  • when the watch doesn't recognize any shock when its on your wrist.

  • nice presentation

  • Seiko make excellent watches, i have just got an Automatic Premier with the 6r20 Auto Movement, a VERY nice watch and i will say every bit as good as the competition IE Omega or whoever else has a go ;)

  • exo ki ego to idio se aspro kantran...paidia einai akrivo alla apisteuto roloi!einai apo ta kalitera, texnologika, montela pou exoun vgei...teleio roloi!mpravo seiko!

  • It has no "date of the week", which is much much more useful than month...

  • This is an incredible watch. I saw it for the first time ever at Macy's (the only place that carries them -other than online stores). I have followed this watch for the last two years. I am wondering if it is too dressy for everyday wear? What do you think?

  • That is a cool watch. Seiko is not only innovative and stylish but long lasting and supremely accurate. No Rolex is as accurate as a kinetic.

  • @windsurfingfun Actually the oysterquartz is probably as accurate.
