  • excelente pelicula :D me encanto!

  • I just saw this movie for the second time so that I could fully digest it and what I find so attractive to it is that it has everything in the right balance, not too many action, no boring music, a REAL beautiful girl with no enhanced features, a story that could really happen to anyone and just keeps you interested, no exagerated action scenes, and a such great finnale, it's just a piece of art i truely deeply recomend watching!!

  • beter or badder than death proof?

  • @TheWindsurfer12 Worse...yeah I think that we definitely say worse...I mean not the film, we just don't say "badder" ;). just kidding, anyway errr, death proof, never watched it, so I dunno =) but just by seeing the success and critics about each of them I daresay that this one rules. You should watch it in any case, I sharply recommend it.

  • Ah I saw the beginning 45 minutes of this...Must see the rest!!!! Gosling's performance was spectacular, the fact that he could convey that much emotion while rarely talking...Brilliant.

  • This movie was shit, just watch the trailer the movie adds nothing.

  • @lyndo182

how about this, shut your mouth, before i kick your fucking teeth down your throat and shut it for ya

  • @RaphaelDeLaGhetto87 how is this a transporter rip off at all? have you seen this movie?

  • Awesome movie, watch multiple times for optimum enjoyment. Yeah and dont watch this trailer before you see it. It shows you the whole movie. PS Did any one else notice something amiss with the scorpion on his jacket? I'll give you a clue how many legs should an arachnid have?

  • My favorite film noir. If you don't know what that is then you're probably better off not watching this film.

  • DON'T Watch the trailer. Movie is so much more suspenseful without it!!

  • @theot13 Man I here you they have put the most important scene in the trailer. I watched it two times and you'll now what will happen all the time

  • Comment removed

  • @Lubetza Though this scene is one of the best of the movie, it has no valuable interest regarding to the story. I think that the film has the power to transform a regular (but certainly good) action story, into a true suspensful movie, that surpasses the story which it lies on, making it a loads of time more interesting and worthy to follow. So this film appears basically to me as a "technical" one, which means that it cannot be matched by a book or any other means of telling a story.

  • @Rtlighter I got your point and your comments on the movie are interesting. Though just I want to add that a book experience is as good as your imagination. Still I think that the trailer is bad. It has too much of the action of the movie and gives the falls impression with the introduction that it is some kind of transporter movie or need for speed :).

  • @Lubetza Thanks. I just wrote the comments to prevent my (poor) english from getting rusty. And don't take offense to what I said about books. I know that books do certainly have some advantages, that are naturally not matched by films. I was just talking about the thing that makes this movie a particular one, but I don't deny that a book about the same subject would be excellent but maybe by using different means to create suspense. I hope I made this point clear, All the arts are worthy to me.

  • @Lubetza And yeah 'am not defending the trailer you know...I'm on the contrary saying that the film is more complex. So as you said, maybe it rather gives a pretty false idea about the film, I mean what it truly is. And yes, as everyone has noticed it, I still don't know why it is called "drive", while it is not the whole point of the film, so maybe the guys that made the trailer has run out of imagination, trying to match its content with the title.

  • @Lubetza But I think, I got a (somehow) philosophical interpretaion of the title ;), look Like I said the film drove us away from the story, through its technical construction. I mean : we loose the main point of the story which is the hero's driving career, to get in another story that is apparently not related, but that becomes more interesting because of suspense. So we get driven away from the story, to the benefit of suspens. That's why it is called drive ;), nice theory isn't it ??

  • @Lubetza So it seems logical that the movie looks like some kind of transporter at the beginning just before we are driven away from that false point of view, and discover that it is more complex. Thus, it is that kind of movie that you watch only because it is the one that looks the least boring, but then discover its true value. So drive belongs to this type of movies. We just ought to call them the "drive-type" from now.^^ okay now sorry if I wrote too much, have a good (end of ) evening.

  • @theot13 Well..I actually think that the movie will still be interesting, even after watching it many times...that's what made it look so great in my opinion. I do think true striking film could hit you every time, don't you? I mean a film that suspensful, doesn't depend only on the story, it depends on the construction of each scene, and every second is valuable. so there is nothing to worry about, the trailer doesn't show up enough, in any case.

  • @theot13 It is kind of an offense to say that the trailer sums up the whole film...maybe for another film but certainly not this one.Tough it is important, the story isn't the main point.

  • I can't believe you want me to watch a commercial so I can watch a commercial, thumbs down!

  • So glad i didnt see this before I seen the movie! Excellent film

  • What's the music that swells at 1:35? It's so dreamy and makes me think of old hollywood.

  • @LeviathanMexicana "Oh My Love" - Riz Ortolani feat. Katyna Ranieri

  • That 1:38 has to be the most beautifully acted and filmed kiss I've ever seen on film.

  • @poetwriter18 You got that right.

  • That's not a red band...

  • uncensored boobs at 2:06

  • @anifz16 gosh how u found it lol :)

  • uncensored boobs at 2:07

  • Mantap banget

  • WARNING CAUTION ALERT

Dont watch this movie its very bad. No action, no drama, only 2-3min driving total tahts it! Half the movie is spent with no action, no dialog, just plain staring by the main character.

You wont like this movie if you like : like youtube, like dogs or cats, likes fun

You will like this movie if you like: read newspaper for fun, goldfish and play chess.

    You been warned

  • @Zimba9810 you're retarded and dont know what good movies actually are, go back and watch Transformers please :)

  • @Zimba9810 I can't tell if your post is a joke or not. are you trying to say only idiots who like cat videos on youtube would dislike this film? if so, I agree.

  • @Kevtb87 i did it cuz its fun and it is true. no lies from me. I want to get revenge because this movie wasted my money and worst 2hrs of time.

  • This is a gawd damn misleading movie which would piss the attracted audience off.

Just like if a movie was titled "chicks", and u only throw in a bunch of dicks in the film, all the horndogs who went in hoping for some good action scenes would feel the same way car lovers went in to watch this movie.

If the movie is named drive, DRIVE FOR GAWD SAKE

  • @Pres8ge He does drive 90% of the movie hes in his car or working on his car, the movies called drive not Speed race or The Racer he drives not race he even says that in the trailer hes a getaway driver, not a goddamn Drag racer.

  • This movie was mindblowing. Seriously, its not just another gosling-flick its a modern classic.

  • @Gonko100 Yep, Wholeheartedly agree, not enough superlatives to describe it. Anyone who gives this a bad review has to be severely cognitively impaired.

  • As a committed cinema goer I have to say that this was one of the most refreshingly different and resonant movies I have seen in a great long time. 9.8 stars out of 10..

  • @JCaesar11 agreed :)

  • @JCaesar11 agreed :)

  • OnlyDude77 is it worse than 127 hrs in terms of gore

  • OMG A MUSTANG IN A MOVIE....... im watching this shit!!

  • Not the kinda film I'd usually watching by I can't say no to Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan

  • One of the best movies in recent years. It's just that good. Think of Walter Hill's DRIVER and Michael Mann's THIEF as referent points. DRIVE is the reason why we should go to the movies

  • like posted below i just watched this movie 2 hours ago and it was a 25 dollars wasted its not theater worthy, the trailer is the movie once youve seen it youve seen all the good parts, dont go waste your money on this movie!

  • @joey1990 You sir, are a moron

  • @joey1990

25 dollars? fuck sake and here i was going to immigrate from scotland because of resession lol. think ill stay here now

  • 00:46 HOLY SHIT IT'S RED JOHN!!! ;D

PS. this movie looks well worth a watch! <3

  • This trailer pretty much is the movie. A good one at that. It has an 80's feel to it and I definitely get the Grand Theft Auto vibe while watching. There is some good lines in this flick too. Stay tuned for the story of the scorpion and the frog.

  • 2:07

    I see tit

  • I think Ryan Gosling deserves an Oscar nomination for Best Actor maybe even a win for this movie

  • pause at 2:08

  • XD I mean caR

  • He dies While cruising around with is cat

  • .great drama, great suspense, bloody revenge and action!.. :) ..one of the year's best

  • Guy gets pressured into committing crimes and then he has to kill his boss + minions to save his family? I think I have seen this one a few times. So it's not for me. I guess I'm too old for this shit.

  • @Gillsing First off, your plt assumptions are incorrect. Driver has no obligation to ever become involved, he falls for his neighbor, and does it for her. He does not have to kill his boss either, or minions.

Besides that, this is a great move because they dont need an explicit sex scene to show love between driver and Irene, they dont need constant dialogue to display characters' traits or emotions, and they dont need fast-paced action to keep you gripped.

To me, this movie will be an icon

  • @soulevs "They don't need fast-paced action to keep you gripped"...yea but they needed senseless gore to keep an audience watching. this movie had everything going for it, but the highly grotesque gore and unbelievable love chemistry between the Driver and "the girl", took so much away from the movie. Not to mention that the ending is a giant let down.

  • @hotsizzleakadafizz If this movie wasn't your style, then fine. The gore wasn't about being flashy.

To me, the movie felt much more "realistic" than most action-type movies. The action scenes were not sped up, the chase scenes were short and sweet with no explosions or driving through fruit stands, and the violence was grotesque and utterly disturbing (as it ought to be, no?). And I am guessing you have never been in love, as I think this was spot-on.

I will agree the ending sucked though

  • @soulevs I agree, I wouldn't even really call it an action movie because there is no violence until the second half of the movie, and there's only a body count of like 8 or something. As said, it's more realistic in that way. And the violence... not too bad actually... (If you want head stomping without blood, go watch a pg-13 movie, jeez)

  • @CloneByDesign Yeah, it was actually a lot like older action flicks, where the "action" is usually more slow and methodical (but believable). Now in Hollywood action seems to be solely fast-paced, totally unfollowable, and undeniably unrealistic crashes, killings and fights. To me, this movie was a breath of fresh air

  • @soulevs The old action flicks like The French Connection and Bullit, right? And yeah It was a breath of fresh air for me too. It will definitely be at the Academy Awards in March.

  • @CloneByDesign

yeah, I agree 100%, I hope filmmakers are paying attention to this movie the next time they want to release 'the transporter'. No offense to that movie, but I would rather see movies that develop their own distinct style (or at least revive an old one)

  • @soulevs LOL at "driving through fruit stands."

I thought it was a great movie.

    SPOILER ALERT!!!!:

The ending just seemed off to me because you sit there wondering that the knife stab wasn't that bad?

  • @mpcjunkie72 yeah to me the ending seemed incomplete. It seemed like they tried to make it seem ambiguous, but it didnt quite fit that way. Some movies go on past the point where they should have ended, but I think they definitely could have a small wrap-up at the end. It almost seems as if they were leaving it for a sequel, but this movie should NOT have a sequel. So I dont know I guess

  • @mpcjunkie72 Well you try getting stabbed in the stomach and surviving without going to the hospital

  • blip

  • @dellgriff82 your a jackass, posting !SPOILER ALERTS! (3 comments below) on every video related to the movie, you should really think about suicide

  • Is that the love child of zach galifianakis and woody harrelson at 2:03?

  • The idea came from Walter Hill's "The Driver" (1978)...and I like the original much better...

  • The trailer makes the movie look so much better than it was.

  • this reminds me of Walter Hill's The Driver starring Ryan O' Neal, anybody remembers that great thriller?

  • What's funny is that all of Ryan Gosling's lines fit into this 2.5 minute trailer. Literally.

  • @nickmooreimages ever acted? facial expression is hard to find, and he has it. try it go to a community college or theater, then you will think twice about the use of facial expression over words in a movie.

  • @nickmooreimages I think he actually averaged five words per sentence. Also, I'm here for the toothpicks.

  • @nickmooreimages you mean those are all of his lines in the movie?

  • @nickmooreimages

I am a quiet man. is that funny?

    you talk shit.

  • is this based on the game driver from ps2?

  • 1:59 there's a fork in that guy's eye!

  • Badass

  • This movie is shit! It send rage signals to my head

  • @ElSuperbeasto713 the movie is very good, if its sending rage signals to your head you should go check out a docter...

  • Ryan Gosling...

  • Ahhh, can't wait! I've seen the trailer 5 times or so in the past two days. I can't wait for this to hit the cinema!

  • He should have answered : 'I don't need to, i have a review mirror'

  • @CatarinaPBatista Or maybe; "No...that's what the review mirror is for". Or not. Whatever..
