I'll never forget the Lipstick Killer episode in season 3.I was really young & I watched TJ Hooker every saturday night & this episode had a guy dressed up like a female nurse as the killer. That was the first time I've ever seen that type of character as a killer. It freaked me out.I had nightmares for years about that guy.I'm taking it that they did what every tv show tries to do & cap in on present movies.I believe they were trying to capitalize on the movie Dressed To Kill,4 years later.
This show as better with Romano & Corrigan co-starring on it together, especially before Romanos departure which made the ratings plummet & lead to this shows cancellation in the Summer of 1986.
@jifkitchen .....If I remember correctly and then only bits and pieces. Hooker and Romano were investigating bombings. They went to see the asian tech. The tech liked to play classical music. He found that it interfered with his radio station. While Hooker and Romano were in their patrol car, they realized their police radio was doing the same thing and the tech's radio and knew there was a bomb hidden in the police car.

This was in the late 1970s - early 1980s as I recall, and Star Trek was the mid-late 1960s.
This series came out around the time of "Star Trek - The Motion Picture"the first Trek movie but I am not aware which came first. I think it was Shatner's first lead in a TV series since the ST series, so he actually broke against type a bit.
jeez, how many police cars did they trash over the course of the series?

I am from Austria, Vienna, and not sure if I have seen this series on TV. I just know that this series existed.
So here is my question: Was this series broadcasted after Enterprise? He seems to be a bit older in the intro.
And did this series become famous because of "Kirk"?
Thx.
