All I would like to say is that God loves everyone just they way they are. He sent his Son to die for us all and if we sincerely believe that and confess Jesus is Lord, we're saved. That's the truth. Anyone can go to Heaven if they accept and believe and confess this. It is left as an option to choose to or not so we can maintain our freewill. I'm sorry if you believe otherwise: otherwise you're missing the point. That's the concept and truth of being saved by God's grace.

The music is beautiful. I love it. I don't really appreciate the pictures in most of these types of things though because it says in the Bible that we should not make an image of God and because Jesus was God then shouldn't this apply to Him also? Another issue is t all the pictures show Him with long hair and stuff. Whats the deal with that? Men had short hair in those days as commanded, not womanlike like in the pictures. And do you mind capitalizing the He when referring to Him etc...?
@HeRtBoK How do you know Jesus didn't have long hair? Were you there? I think you got that out of one of Pauls Epistles where he addressed one of the churches directly. Sometimes int he word (regardless, they're great examples) they're addressed to a specific place and not to everyone. Also, It doesn't say precisely not to make an image of God. It says not to make an graven image of things in heaven above, on the earth beneath or in the waters below like when they made the calf.

And I'm not saying, "Yes you can" to say it's okay I'm saying it's very well possible to fall into that. This video popped up, and I started listening.....and then I started weeping. Sometimes we forget how humble God is, how willing he is to suffer for and love us. I'm glad to know such a great and loving God.
I go to St. Stephens in Troy, MO and got to see them recently. Met the band and helped them set-up and take down the gear. It was truly a great experience. This is a genuinely awesome group of guys!!

He cares about the seemingly inconsequential details of our lives. It helps Him to know us intimately. After starting, He usually opens my heart to Him so I can ask for guidance and healing, and praise Him fully.
You might not believe in God but there is 2 witnesses you have against you. Creation testifies that there is a Creator, and your conscience. Perhaps you have encountered religion rather than your heavenly Father, who wants to have a close, intimate, personal relationship with you, which is why he sent Jesus. Prayer isn't a specific format or formula. Your heavenly Father knows what you have need of before you ask and is eager to hear and respond. Prayer is simply talking to God, sharing what's on your heart and mind.
Try not to rely on your feelings as a gauge as to whether your heavenly Father heard you or answered your prayer. Feelings can lead you astray. Simply believe that God heard you and is faithful to answer every prayer that comes from the heart.
How do you expect to feel any different if you don't even believe in God? Why do you even go to church if you consider yourself an atheist? God can save atheists but they can't stay atheists and be saved. You need to deal with your atheism first because in order to be saved you need to be broken before a God you don't even believe in and that's just not going to happen. How can it?
You need to decide one way or the other. Either drop atheism and truly seek God with all your heart or drop church and stop pretending. God will be found if you seek Him with your whole heart but if you're just pretending and going through the motions, you're wasting your time.
Because I've prayed most of my childhood- they were never answered. I believe that there is no real proof- if He existed, he took everyone I loved most from me. It's a lot easier being Atheist than believing in someone/something that doesn't have proof to existence.
PsychoSquishyRainbow: It is easy to believe that He's not real. But in history the people who got the farthest didn't get there by taking the easy way. I'm sorry that you've lost loved ones but sometimes suffering can bring us closer to God because that's when we need Him the most. No earthly father would do that to his child, but many people blame God, our heavenly Father, who the Bible says IS LOVE, for taking our loved ones from us. It's not true. So often we, as imperfect people, credit ourselves as having more love, goodness, patience, kindness, etc., than God, who is perfect love. Your heavenly Father did not do those things.

In the same way you just did. Just as plainly as we are talking. I often pray in the car on the way to work, I've even written God letters. "Dear Lord, I come to you through Jesus Christ my Savior..... ( insert everything here)" Amen. That's it, God knows no boundries, He can hear every prayer from every person of every country in every language. I've sometimes pushed God aside and He's let me go on my merry way following closely, but when I fall on my face, He is always there to pick me up.

I know how you feel.I went to church my whole life, and while it was okay, there was deep conection. Because until you have that relationship with God, you won't get it, and even sometimes you won't go home with a warm fuzzy feeling after every Sunday. You go because God wants you there, for Him, not because you expect to get something out of it every time. Now that I am closer to God, I love going to church.

It's from a Centricity Records various artists Christmas compilation called "Bethlehem Skyline". At least, that's where I first found it. It just came out last Christmas, I believe.
the only thing i dont like about this song is when they say" how many fathers gave up their sons for me" because if you think about it they gave up their sons for things like war and joining the army. so they should get alot of praise as well.

After some thought she replied: "It's true that those in the armed services are there to protect a cause, but not you as an individual. I guess that's why I married her.
You know how certain songs impact you from the very first time you hear it? This is one such song. I tried to find an audio version to play and my good friends here did that for me. It takes my breath away every time I hear it. I lead worship at my church and would not hesitate to do this unless my team was not up to it.

First you need to make sure you have that relationship.Once you relize who you are, then you relize who God is.Christians love to sing of amazing grace but we miss something truely amazing! You see, grace is the giving of something we dont deserve and mercy is the holding back of something we do. Sometimes, it is very hard for me to pray. It helps to speak my prayers out loud, just like a conversation. I tell God about the little things of my day. He cares about the seemingly inconsequential details of our lives. It helps Him to know us intimately. After starting, He usually opens my heart to Him so I can ask for guidance and healing, and praise Him fully.

Perhaps you have encountered religion rather than your heavenly Father, who wants to have a close, intimate, personal relationship with you, which is why he sent Jesus. He is already drawing you by his Spirit. He will reveal Himself to you in a very real, personal way. Just ask Him. He is listening.

Try not to rely on your feelings as a gauge as to whether your heavenly Father heard you or answered your prayer. Feelings can lead you astray. Simply believe that God heard you and is faithful to answer every prayer that comes from the heart.

How do you expect to feel any different if you don't even believe in God? Why do you even go to church if you consider yourself an atheist? God can save atheists but they can't stay atheists and be saved. You need to deal with your atheism first because in order to be saved you need to be broken before a God you don't even believe in and that's just not going to happen. How can it?

You need to decide one way or the other. Either drop atheism and truly seek God with all your heart or drop church and stop pretending. God will be found if you seek Him with your whole heart but if you're just pretending and going through the motions, you're wasting your time.

Because I've prayed most of my childhood- they were never answered. I believe that there is no real proof- if He existed, he took everyone I loved most from me. It's a lot easier being Atheist than believing in someone/something that doesn't have proof to existence.

I'm sorry that you've lost loved ones but sometimes suffering can bring us closer to God because that's when we need Him the most. I could give you what I believe is proof of God but you wouldn't believe me unless you wanted to. Maybe soon you'll read the Bible, and then pray with faith. Dear Rainbow, Please understand that your heavenly Father didn't take everyone you loved from you. No earthly father would do that to his child, but many people blame God, our heavenly Father, who the Bible says IS LOVE, for taking our loved ones from us. It's not true. So often we, as imperfect people, credit ourselves as having more love, goodness, patience, kindness, etc., than God, who is perfect love. Your heavenly Father did not do those things.

In the same way you just did. Just as plainly as we are talking. I often pray in the car on the way to work, I've even written God letters. "Dear Lord, I come to you through Jesus Christ my Savior..... ( insert everything here)" Amen. That's it, God knows no boundries, He can hear every prayer from every person of every country in every language. I've sometimes pushed God aside and He's let me go on my merry way following closely, but when I fall on my face, He is always there to pick me up.

I know how you feel.I went to church my whole life, and while it was okay, there was deep conection. Because until you have that relationship with God, you won't get it, and even sometimes you won't go home with a warm fuzzy feeling after every Sunday. You go because God wants you there, for Him, not because you expect to get something out of it every time. Now that I am closer to God, I love going to church.

and not just being atheist, I absolutely believe in Jesus' existence, and what he has done. even I believe in the morals of the commandments. But how they came to be can all be explained by an advanced civilized hand intervention (I mean why morals?) then by using a baby you could alter civilization, after all Jesus definitely caused a shift in society from the inside out.

I had the same feeling the first time I heard this song, and mentioned it to my wife. After some thought she replied: "It's true that those in the armed services are there to protect a cause, but not you as an individual. Go to a man and ask that his son die for you, right now, on the spot. See what the response will be. That's what Christ did. He died for you as an individual." Pretty powerful stuff. You know how certain songs impact you from the very first time you hear it? This is one such song. I tried to find an audio version to play and my good friends here did that for me.
