  • #1 Orlando Pace

  • Weird that willie roaf was left out.

  • Here's an honorable mention: Bob Brown and Rayfield Wright for the 60s/70s. Jon Kolb and Doug France for the 70s. Joe Jacoby and Gary Zimmerman 80s and Eric Williams in the 90s

i know nothing about players from the mid 90s forward.....i no longer am interested in pro football.

  • I mean no disrespect but as has been said, no Walter Jones, Jonathan Ogden, or Orlando Pace? Am I missing something?

  • U seem to know football putting players on the list that are long forgotten but missing Forrest Gregg, JIm Parker and Jon Ogden is an outrage

  • And anthony munoz sorry.

  • ORLANDO PACE! WALTER JONES! JONATHAN OGDEN! WILLIE ROAF! I'll give you Shell and Dierdorf but wtf dude?!

  • HOF Tackles can make good players seem great.

Anthony Munoz (Kenny Anderson, Pete Johnson)

    Jonathan Odgen (Trent Dilfer)

Walter Jones (Matt Hasselbeck, Shawn Alexander)

  • @bertcake Trent Dilfer never seemed great

  • this is the dumbest list ever compiled

  • no walter jones? or jonathan ogden? have you ever watched football

  • wow no john hannah r u should really take this list down

  • My buddy who is an NFL junkie talks about a tackle back in the 60's named Bob Brown, if I have the name right. How good was he?

  • @ripperduck Bob Brown was a 5 time all-pro right tackle who spent most of his career with the Eagles. In 1969 he went to the Rams thru 70 and then played three years for the Raiders from 71-73.

He was 6-4 and weighed anywhere from 280 to 300lbs....huge for that time.

Bob Brown blocked the great Defensive ends of the league at that time; among them Deacon Jones, Willie Davis, and Bubba Smith.

  • @66JSmith Michael Oher? REALLY? based on blindside or real life? Were u part of the movie blindside, or r u a ravens fan? hope that was sarcasm

  • 1: don't associate Creed songs with football

2: Walter Jones & Willie Roaf r top 3 & not even on your list

  • This is a pretty bad list man - no offence.

  • Walter Jones is the best offensive tackle ever.

  • dude no giants

  • this idiot doesnt know what hes talking about. Anthony munoz is the best lineman ever

  • since when does making an all time great list require you to be retired for 20 to 40 years? how come we don't ever see recent players like Ogden, Pace, or Walter Jones that deserve to make the list

  • Forrest Gregg, Tony Boselli...wtf? nice try anyway

  • WALTER JONES??????????

  • munoz a beast

  • Bruce Matthews, Orlando Pace, Jonathen Ogden, William "Big Nasty" Roaf ?????????

  • ur list is crap where is bruce matthews ur a bum dont make any more list

  • @bbjones63 Bruce Matthews is definitely one of the best OL of all time (making the pro bowl as C, G, and T in his career) but he is best known for being a guard. Usually considered the best guard of all time.

  • 10. Walter Jones

    9. Tony Boselli

    8. Ron Yary

    7. Erik Williams

    6. Art Shell

    5. Roosevelt Brown

    4. Orlando Pace

    3. Jim Parker

    2. Johnathan Ogden

    1. Anthony Munoz

  • @NobelBryceWinner84 now i agree with this list here

  • WALTER JONES???????

  • Munoz 1 and Ogden 2 dude.

  • Bravo for the effort on trying to rank them. Though I disagree with your ranking and ommissions I applaud that you put this together. Well done sir :)

  • wheres Jonathan Ogden at?

  • cant believ u put munoz at two defintyl number one material

  • u forgot larry allen, nate newton, eric williams, mark tuina

  • larry allen and nate newton were not offensive tackles.

  • Actually during their career's Larry Allen did make it to the pro bowl as a tackle and in fact started his rookie year as a tackle. He may be remembered as a guard but he was a good tackle when he had to play for a injured player. Nate Newton did play tackle in 1990 but really wasn't good at it. He was best when he played guard since his weight and body sized best suited him to play guard.

  • name of the songgg

  • Arms Wide Open by Creed

It is about the lead singer of Creed (Scott Stapp's son)

I love Creed, great Christian lyrics. Check them out!

  • No Jon Ogden. Seriously. youre a goddamn idiot. ogden dominated the trenches fuckface.

  • strong rage

  • I am so lame, i am a hardcore football fan and i have never heard of these people, plus i think orlando pace should have been in this line-up :)

  • he's god but Willie Roffe forthe chiefs was better and he didnt make it

  • Tunch Ilkin? You're kidding, right? Munoz is no. 1 over Shell -- that should be indisputable. Jim Parker has to be on the list. Rayfield Wright deserves honorable mention or a place above Ilkin at the least. Covert over Zimmerman for their era is a tough call but I'd agree. Erik Williams was a beast for 4-5 years. He ruined his knee and could not slide and mirror like he could prior to that. Probably the most dominating run blocking tackle of the last 20 years before the knee injury.

  • How could you not have Roosevelt Brown and Jim Parker on your list? When they came into the league they took the position to another level. Just imagine Orlando Pace or Jonathan Ogden playing in the 50's or 60's... well, because of Jim Parker you have to imagine it! You could make the case that John Unitas could not have created the 2 minute offense without him. One of my favorite blocks of his is one where he basically made Dick Butkus disappear. He had to run downfield to make this block.

  • I agree that not having Munoz number 1 almost makes this list invalid but in fairness offensive lineman are the hardest to judge who is the the best after that because there are so many great ones even ones that are not in the hall of fame could make the list.

  • no hogs

  • Any "best offensive tackle" list where Anthony Munoz is not number one, is simply atrocious

  • Terrible list. First off Munoz is maybe the greatest O-lineman, center tackle or gaurd to ever play the game. Also any list of O-tackles without John Ogden in the top 5 is useless. I mean what the hell is Brian Holloway on the list for? What the hell? lol, I guess you could argue the list you made but not with Holloway on it, not at all

  • willie roaf? bad vid

  • Just an awful list. You have no sense of history.

Brian Holloway??? Are you kidding me. Played in 3 Pro Bowls and was never an All-Pro and you have him FIFTH???

From 5-10 only Ron Yary is in the HOF.

Where is Forrest Gregg, Lou Groza and Roosevelt Brown? Gary Zimmerman too?

Walter Jones, Ogden, Pace and Willie Roaf are all better than those guys 5-10 with perhaps the exception of Yary.

  • If you are looking at OTs that are retired, I would include Jim Lachey

  • no tackles??? not even video you suck!!!!!!1

  • are you fuckin retarded rodriguez, tackle is a position for lineman motherfucker. your a fag and dont even play football

  • wheres walter jones or john ogden they are only the two most dominant players at any position

  • stupid video, where are the tackles?

  • dam u no nothing about football
