We all have learned all matayoshi kobudo syllabus upto 8 weapons from learning tapes of Mikio Nishiuchi,of course being a Rokudan in Isshinryu has helped me a lot,as we have Bo,sai,Tonkua in Isshinryu syllabus(kata are different). And according to me it is not the dan but the capacity of a person to learn.
