-.- we just did that in my buddies 500hp 7m supra goin into 3rd around a sweeper... 3 360's before ending up in a ditch and hikin back to my house to winch it out with the jeep O.o
most common accident at knockhill, need to scrub speed off before this corner and keep the power on throughout the corner, only way of scrubbing speed during a corner is left foot braking so you dont upset the balance of the car as much
Iv done slides like that many of times, I can't say I wouldn't have spun out but I can say I wouldn't have crashed. That was a pointless crash, but a crash is a crash no point on look back and I bet he learned something from it.
The small kid who isnt a kid is 15 and hes my neighbor.Hes brother comes to his house with some sick cars today we were cycling.Hes my bestfrend on my street.I am only 10 buts he awesome
quella curva fatta è stata fatta con una marcia troppo alta.... come ha toccato il freno è logico che il trasferimento di carico l'ha fatta partire da dietro!!!!
@rioross First, in type r, R stands for Race, second, a car with lsd, 195hp on front wheels is rather a race car than a trolly. And last, when a ricer takes a car on the street and crashes, lots of shitheads like you come and say ooo silly ricer. Now since he is not a ricer, but has a jdm car, went to a race track, not to harm anyone on streets, and you still call him ricer? Mayber that was not you mouth but your butthole talking.
I personally think that when he hit that patch on the left it caused him to lose grip and skid. When you skid like that instead of locking the brakes pull the e-brake up and counter-steer. When you use the e-brake it will lock up the rear so you can counter back out.
I was fallowing an integra in to this corner with my astra gte and he did the exact same thing minus the hitting the tire wall bit ! Was a hairy moment caus I thought I was goin to t bone the hoore !
it looks like the driver is wearing a racing harness but the passenger is wearing just the crappy stock seatbelt that only protects you if you rearend a car at 20mph. That's why the passenger flew so wildly.
should have gunned it since its fwd. i almost lost it before. with fwd if you let off the gas fast the weight shifts liek crazy to the front and it spins
just shows how easy it is to lose control, im off to oulton park on a track day tomorrow driving my accord type S, think i may keep the traction control on ;)

Good video... looks like you were taking care. Bu this just goes to show how easy things can turn sour. One moment you were in control abd the next... well the video shows us.
P.S
Well done for racing on a track in a controlled environment... I guess next time you may remember to steer into the slide so you car does a couple of harmless loops and comes to a rest.
you knew your limits until those two cars overtook you, then you stepped over the limit. your reaction for countersteer was too late and too slow and do integras even have an LSDiff? you shouldve been down in 2nd . oh well, at least youre ok.
Shame man, you seemed to be driving pretty well up until that point. I never saw it coming. Your reactions where a little slow but i'm pretty sure i'd have ended up in the same mess.
Faz, no luck dude... I wasnt there on the eve but Fee told me about it afterwards. Glad your wee bro was ok. I have spun down duffis a few times before. I'd just ignore most of these bampots saying you should have done this that and the next thing. It happened, learn from it. I've been off a few times before LOL
Yep definately one of the trickier corners - although its usually at the first right hander where the car goes light that people normally mess up, had a few pant wetters there myself! Think there may have been muck on the track where you went of - its quite common here from people cutting the corner as your car did appear to swing out on a normally pretty quick corner. As said dont listen to the armchair racedrivers - most of them have never been near a track.
held the steering wheel left too long when you had track to play with. Hard to tell you would spin out by trying to get in the center of the track tho.
Just like you wouldnt take a stock corvette z06, or a porsche 911 gt2, or a stock subaru sti.

Try driving in an Integra GSR thats doing 205km/h, loosing control and flipping end over end 12-14 times, cus thats what i went through, i was the passenger...so when u go through sumthing that violent, comment me back..
I don't see what that has to do with this, but okay. 'racerkart' was just making a statement regarding his surprise is all, if anything it was 100% sympathetic. No need to be a douche. Sorry if this doesn't measure up to your level of 'freaky'.
As for what happened... just inertia of the back end gently bringing it around. Because of the hill the back end floated without tire resistance; no noise. That made it harder to notice and catch.
How feaky is this!!! Back seems to get a mind of its own - Clips the apex on feathered throttle - he snatches left mid corner - then just doesn't seem to notice hes rotating till its late. Sure the Right RR tyre didn't pop!!! Just as long as everyones OK - Young un makes a few worrying noises.
Sounds like he lifted off abit as he went round the corner, ive found in my teg that not being commited in a corner can bite you! i nearly crashed in the wet because i had to lift off on a roundabout
looks like the rear nearside wheel lost grip. I also dont think they should let kids ride as a passenger. That kid could have been paralyzed, came almost straight out the seat therefore erasing the point of having the bucket seat and seatbelt. give the kid a 3 point harness at least next time.
minimum 3 point harness. Agreed there. Children should be allowed on track as passengers, just safety precautions are too low it seems. Proper bucket and harness would have helped hugely there. I hope everyone is ok though!
To be fair, i wore smart trousers, a shirt and tie for work monday thru friday for a just over a year before i got a second car for a 'daily'.. I never had any problems with a 6point TRS harness, corbeau revolution seat, full cage incl. doorbars. But hell i loved driving a track car for work, the 'rawness' of it was great! I sometimes use the track day instead of the daily for work as it always puts a smile on my face now lol. Feels safer in a good harness.
the wee man went for a burton in that 1 bro he was nearly sittin in yer lap @ the end there , na fair play tae ya m8 at least ya went out there and done it mistakes happen and if half of them criticicing beastards down there blabbin thier mouths afe at ya had the ballz to get on the track they would know mistakes can ,will and happen to even the most skilled drivers out there jus get some more track time in and u will be jammin, see ya on the track hopefully behind me lol!!
why do you use 2nd gear at every corner on most of your laps? duffus, chicane and clarks and probably even macintyres are easy 3rd gear corners! you can carry loads more corner speed too!
I have to agree somewhat with this comment. Even with a vtec motor, the need to downshift into second gear isnt neccesary. Its still an N/A car after all. Unless you were heel-toe downshifting to keep it very smooth then its just unbalencing the car. Granted that wasnt the cause of the accident. Had good control throughout, kept car at a steady speed but i believe the back end stepped out due to exess play in Faz`s Pullo. Oi Khidda Fazeeeeee!!!
don't see why people think it's lift off oversteer every time something like this happened? Could have just lost grip, I can go into a corner with the power flat down and the back end will still step out, if the tires have lost grip, then there's nothing you can do apart from try and correct it with a little opposite lock
so. what happened, did the tires wear off so badly, to cuase the oversteer, or did you step on brake in the middle of that last turn, and cused the slide..??
Not at all, I'm sure a more experienced driver would of been able to see it coming, he simply let off too much into the corner when really he should of had it almost pinned. If he had kept the power on the worst he would of got was a tad bit of understeer as he hit the exit.
Looked like a pretty hard impact too! Hope all is well.
Looks like the right rear tire gave up and lost it's grip. A downhill, entering a turn that's flat puts a lot of strain on the opposing tires. Therefore, causing the rear to swerve right when making that left turn.
Dont look like front wheels can oversteer unless the rear's traction is out.
But overall....That sucked to crash an ITR in the track. Hope you they get back on the track soon.
did that boys need brake lol ?? he got a seet belt on ??

In the previous session I did 3 laps then went into the pits to let the brakes/tyres cool (and set up the camera).
In this session the chance of chasing 2 Elises round the track was too good to pass, so I continued for a 4th lap!

It's kinda hard to expect that

Not at all, I'm sure a more experienced driver would of been able to see it coming, he simply let off too much into the corner when really he should of had it almost pinned. If he had kept the power on the worst he would of got was a tad bit of understeer as he hit the exit.
Looked like a pretty hard impact too! Hope all is well.

That's a damn shame.

Wow I didn't expect that you were driving fast but carefully.
