@lisarm100 He did it next to the phone booth because that is where he started to see this different side of Lois (in season 8 where he started to speak to her as the blur), that's where (At least I feel) he started to kind of feel something for her (but he didn't know what it was) and where he opened up to her. It's a symbolic place to them both. I liked it, but to each their own :) I still hope you enjoy the proposal :)
