I used to dislike all of their albums after Here's to Future Days when I first heard them, because they were different from their usual stuff. But now that I listen to them later on, I find them to be just as good, if not even better than their 1983-1985 stuff.

i spoke to Alannah in the 80's when i met her on tour - she told me that this was about a child she lost and her own mother who she also lost. She said it was a hard song for her to perform

Talont69, I also go to meet them on tour, after the concert. Were you a member of their fan club? That's how I was able to meet them. I'm assuming "Flesh and Blood" from the album Queer is about their first child being born.

I always loved this song, and I never got a chance to enjoy the video. The Hurricane she knew my name is my favorite part of the lyric.

I think she wrote that in the lyrics because there was a Hurricane in New Zealand around the time Alannah's mother died. Alannah is from New Zealand and her mother died there.
