If I dj on a desktop with vdj and i dont have to buy a sound card cause i have all the channels: where do i have to put my headphones in if i mix with a midi controller? is it in my computer? or on my mixer? pls respond! thx mate
dude i need your help please,, i have v dj pro the same as your using,, im trying to configure my sound card so i can use my headphone when listing to a track rather through speakers,, i have a 4.1 soundcard,, but when i put spekers in the green jack thats fine,, but when i connect the headphones to the black input jack,, i get no sound.. can you help me please..
@doeboy1978 the best thing i can suggest mate is a portable sound card. can get a decent USB soundcard now with 4 in and 4 out i picked mine up for £80 brand new but im sure you could get hold of some B-Stock ones ;) hope that helped dude.
any good laptops or good enough laptops under $600 with usb and will work great with something liek trakzor or any good programs with a pioneer setup? im not a cd kind of guy and my style of mixing needs me to be open to all my boatload of tracks, i know trakzor is a good program so mayb ill buy that, but i need a cheap laptop just for this purpose and has usb.
I have a dell Inspiron Laptop. and im using Virtual Dj.i have 3, quater inch jack inputs at the front of the laptop. 2 are headphones and another is mic. but can be changed. now i haven't bought a mixer yet. and iv been told its easyer to buy a mixer with usb. but its pricey. so if i get a normal analogue mixer and plug the two jack leads from the mixer into the front of my laptop. and then change virtual dj to 4.1 then i should be able to mix with the channels.
euro3b, lol thx dude. will do so on the next one. sunlight through the window was actually bright, but i think the cam adjusted auto to compensate. will work on my video making skeelz. haha.
It is also possible to map deck 2 directly to one output ie the headphone output (rear) (when you use the external mixer option in output settings) but then you wont be able to fade deck 2 into the speakers as you then have no way of playing deck 2 to the speakers. kinda defeats the point of cueing a track then...
Hey g, if ur using the internal mixer interface of vdj, in config-->sound setup, you need to set your output to headphones and then select 4.1 under soundcard menu. Basically ur telling vdj to use the front audio channel (usually green) for the speakers, and the rear audio channel (usually black) for your headphones. you can swop the allocations in the menu just below. Then you need to use the internal mixer's crossfader or upfaders, and the pfl button to listen to a deck in your headphones.
How do I set up Virtual DJ so I can listen to deck 2 in my headphones while deck 1 is playing out the speakers? I have a X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series soundcard. I'm not sure what settings I should use. I've messed around with the settings but I always seem to hear deck 2 coming out the speakers. I don't have an external mixer. Thanks!!
what spec pc are you using
