it doesn't work on a strat because they only have one volume control. You need to have bridge vol. plus neck vol. so that you can turn one all the way down so when you switch the pickups if acts essentially like a killswitch

the thing is, you have to have at least a 2-pickup guitar like a les paul or an esp/ltd m-series to turn it off and back on. you can't do that on a lp junior.
