Hotel soaps? LOL. Larry Birns, Council on Hemispheric Affairs, put it pretty well this morning on cspan's Washington Journal. He said, "The Obama administration [in heaping relief money] is in danger of a Katrina-type political situation, because a lot of these relief organizations are much less than meets the eye." Nevertheless, I know that CTW was turning eyes to Haiti when all were turned away. So I am playlisting this as another corporate form of giving voice to the voiceless.

@oldParasiteSingle We would love some of that heaping relief money - CTW has moved over 150 tons of goods without a dime of Federal or any other government funding. Thanks for noticing that CTW was in Haiti before it was fashionable, for all the lives lost, hopefully theya re not in vain as the world has turned it's collective attention on this desperate nation Rob at CTW

Awesome idea and awesome video, but constructively, with only 464 views, you need to have a shorter version, so more people watch it. I started 4 times and stopped, but came back to finish it. Other people will not do this. Shorten it, so more can see it.  Good luck.

Dear Mr Till

I think u r doing an important job. I really respect it but I had to react because

1-Cap-Haitien is not the poorest place in Haiti

2-I've seen so many reports on Haiti focusing only on the poverty problem without puting things in context

3-Far from helping, concentrating on poverty gives a 1 sided image which I think doesn't help the poor.

For now I won't b able 2 volunteer

bcause of work obligations.

Again u have all my respect and appreciation for the important work u do.

If u really want to help the country don't just donate soap but please don't make things worse by reinforcing the stereotypes...try to learn on the countrty too and don't just use words like "the poorest city in the poorest country" because it is a catchy phrase...I was born and I live in the city I know what I'm talking about.

Tikalolo, I am deeply sorry if anything we presented about our humanitarian efforts in your native country in any way offended you. We specifically targeted Haiti to be the first country to get our soap out to because there was an immediate need to help there. Perhaps you would like to become a volunteer in our organization. We would be honored to have a native Haitian assist us in helping your fellow Haitians.

Thk you for the soap...but where did u get that Cap-Haitien is the poorest city in Haiti? Come on guys u can do a better job at gathering information on the countries u go to ! From the images u posted some1 can think Cap-Haitian is just a big slum...while the city has a very interesting archiyectural heritage ! Yes there's a very deep poverty problem, but try to give a more nuanced view of the country...the way u present it here is just reinforcing all these negative stereotypes about Haiti

All these things that we take for granted.  These guys are amazing.
