i really wanna mod my easy star off stock, im looking for up to date mods to make it fly again. I stored mine for years not realizing a simple wire off the motor was the cause of not flying it.. Over the years, the batteries perform half assed, and I can't climb even 100 feet in the air but its still fun to fly. I got the RTF version, so I need a motor, esc, lipo & charger, I just bought the newer prop for a stock multiplex. Wish I knew more bout RC, I'd be ordering not ranting....
@skyforceflightmodels Where in the description does it say if this is stock setup or not? I know that is isn't, but you don't actually say that. You could just be listing what came with the plane.
i keep buying stupid cheap bl motors from internet.. u know the ones! 2200kv gold?
its stuttering and screaming on first try so maybe its the esc but i bet its th new motor broke from deal extreme. i just want 2 fly my god damn easystar. i keep spending cash and none of my rc sh it works! where the hell can i buy very good quality outrunners using paypal? hk doesent have any i dont think...fu ck! im gunna hav 2 wait 4 another order i havent even made yet!
tolles video aber eine frage hätte ich gern ist der easy star geeignet auch für anfänger weil ich habe ein Fox von Hype und der ist nicht grad einfach zu fliegen deshalb ist er einfach zu fliegen.... :D
Cant wait to get mine. I messed up and got a Revo 3.3....swapped the motor after problems...many other problems...and I could have got a nice plane or helo for 1/2 the price.
i agree with skyforce ... i have a hacker 3600kv and a 3800kv from a Phase 3 EDF motor on my 2 EZs also..@singhparambir the poor 400 BRUSHED dies easily...i think multiplex should had a brushless from the factory on the EZ

@spyroth No, of course not! We wrote an email to Multiplex, asked them to add ailerons and a brushless motor especially for this one EasyStar, so 2 days later we received the plane ready built ;-)
great how you installed the motor on your plane. was the motor larger then the hole. it looks like the motor was the same diameter and the hole were the original motor was. nice flight though and good job with upgrade
Great video. I have my easystar with a turnigy special series inrunner 2150kv (buid on Hobbyking). With 4s 2200mah and propeller 6x5 630watt and unlimited vertical. Fantastic. Great motor for easystar Turnigy inrunner 2150kv. Next my video
whats the KV of that motor? i was sooo jealous when i saw this vid 4 months ago- i wanted my wildhawk to fly good so i put a 2208-8 (2600kv) 11.1 2800 30C 30A esc and ailerons, and threw away the SDM 27MHZ and its all good - overpowered planes rock !
Hi nice one. But tell me one thing. Why should one replace the original humble brushed motor of easystar which draws just 8 amp and can give you a much longer endurance for the same battery pack? Let us leave aside the life of the motor.
That´s because 600W is slightly more power than 60W of the original motor. If you fly that motor with 10% throttle you will have the same performance and even more flight-time, due to better efficency and less weight. Beside, do not fly the stock motor with 4S LiPo!
No, thats a Turnigy Outrunner, factory rated with 350W (35A) and long-term tested at 600W with about 40A. Some brushless motors look very similar, but the size matters.
This is it. EPO planes with Hi Tech motors (brushless) Hi Tech LiPo power. No reason to buy a nitro plane. You can get 1200 watts brushless. Add 2.4 GHz multi channel with video and you have it all. Multiplex got it right!
Awesome flying. These little planes are so much fun, and for $400 bucks you can have the fastest little easy star out there. I just set mine up with a 3000kv brushless inrunner 45 amp esc and a 3s 2600 lipo the thing screams. I cant even go full speed the thing starts shaking at about 80 miles an hour.
What's up not posting the specs? Obviously everyone was going to want to know. Looks like a Turnigy outrunner to me. Anyone care to guess which one that size can handle 600 watts?
sweet - i just had my first controlled flights with my wildhawk today - it needed the battery moved forward as far as it would go - the problem is it becomes helplesser in wind, so i hafta watch for calm and drop everything to fly, cuz calm is rare - getting my toes wet in this hobby, see if i can do it -IT IS FUN!!
I dont know about 600W? 600W of power is equivalent to a .25 glow engine! But I guess this must be true? What are the numbers on that Trunigy motor? C????-1700?
Hobby City has this C3530-1700 motor but they list the Watts at only 340W? and on your website, you list the same motor as 600W? What is the difference with these motors?
@drypipe1 Great video. I have my easystar with a turnigy special series inrunner 2150kv (buid on Hobbyking). With 4s 2200mah and propeller 6x5 630watt and unlimited vertical. Fantastic. Great motor for easystar Turnigy inrunner 2150kv. Next my video
