People should take a driver's est every 5-10 years. If they fail, they can try it again some other time. If they fail a certain amount of times in a row, they shouldn't get their license ever again. There should be a law that places ppl over 65 in a different DMV category. there licenses should only be good for 1 yr and they must have documented proof from their physician that they don't have uncontrolled hypertension that could cause potential strokes and heart attacks, no signs of parkinsons, arthritis, impaired vision etc.

60 isn't even "old". I'm a welder (a profession that demands good eyesight and is physical) and work with plenty of guys in their 60's and they're all perfectly capable of driving a car as safely as a 30 year old. 75 year olds and over are the real risks.
