I think it does matter whether he existed. If he didnt exist then it is empty hope. The greatest thing Jesus did was not the hope he gave, nor the strength but the blood he shed for us. If it never happened then as Paul says, it is all for nothing.
Second, I believe the Talmud actually references Jesus Minnesota. It is true that many jews may still not believe he was a real person but it goes against one of their holy books.

God DOES NOT send people to hell.
People send themselves to hell.
hell is the ABSENCE of Good. Does cold say "hey heat come back here" Nope, heat is GONE!
People in hell rejected God and that is their torment for all GOOD leaves when you are eternally separated from God by your OWN CHOICE!

Mmm, I hardly think about hell, or heaven for that matter.... I fallow God because I love Him, not out of fear. I am His child, His sister. I know He would never send me to hell, unless I deserved it, because he loves me. Also, I do what he says because it makes me happy to do so. If I am a slave, I am a slave of my own free will. A slave who is allowed to leave anytime, but who knows the consequences of disobeying. A slave who lives a wonderful stress-free life. I am happy being a slave of God.

Come on everyone, this is about God and God is all for compassion and forgiveness. My point is can't we all get along. People should believe what they want, I've seen a lot of things on this that I really disagree with. The way I see it God is a matter of oppinion to many people (namely aethiests) and a matter of faith to others (like me :) ). Anyway my point is no matter what you believe we should all just try to be as acceptant as possible.

That's kindness sileb, not Love. What your talking about is luv, not LOVE. Love is more than kindness, it is pain, it is suffering, thick and dark like blood not clear and fluid like water. Anyone who has ever been in love knows that (im sure you know that). The point is not to simply get along but to truly Love oneanother, suffer for one another and have more than kindness. Only when we learn to love one another will the atheist and relativist know the pain, love and identity of God.

whats with all this tense discussion? all that matters is God/Jesus, nothing else, and i wont condemn ppl that pray(speak) to saints because i cant say weather or not thats something we can do, it doesnt specify that in the Bible... and to get the gift of eternal life, Christ said that all you have to do is accept (himself)Jesus into your life and confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD... God is SO LOVING and MERCIFUL, Praise be to God Forever and ever, amen

It's very ignorant to claim that Catholics aren't Christians. To be a Christian, you have to believe in the Apostle's Creed. Catholics do, so do Protestants, Orthodox, etc. Catholics believe that Jesus Christ is the Living Son of God who died for the sins of mankind.
The big difference is that they view the Church in a very distinct way. But we are all Christians.

not neccesarily. telling someone that to believe a certain thing makes them the part of the group is wrong. You wouldnt tell black people that to be official black people they have to have two completely black parents without a shred of interacial genes. Same as you cant say someone isnt something because they dont believe something you say they should believe in. You are very ignorant.

If we are practicing Christianity, lets not pass judgment on one another. Why did God choose Mary, to bring Jesus into this world and raise him? In all likelihood God looked into her heart and knew she was up for the job.
