Or at least give us an audio menu where we can choose to use the original soundtrack or mute the music.

I had to play Persona for PSP with all the sound muted. The music grated on my soul. Made me want to snap my PSP in half.

@vdeity How terrible for you. I played it with the music on full blast and loved it. If they'd included a symphonic, orchestrated soundtrack I would have loved that too. The game isn't about hating on the music, it's about walking through dungeons and fighting your true mind and something something. The moral of the story is chill out with all the hate.

You could download it for 40 dollars but... your going to have to spend money on getting a new memory stick if you don't have enough to support 1.03 GBs. I suggest getting the UMD, seriously, it'll save memory.

Well, I'm sure they're out to make money too - they can't put food on the table otherwise. But it seems they understand the importance of building a satisfied and loyal fanbase instead of just appealing to flavour-of-the-month shit to get them by.

So, OK mebbe Mark was black on PSOne due to localization, but I'd bet he's way more effective than his replacement. Besides, him and Nate were the best combo in the game, and clearly changing Mark back is going to effect Nate as well.

They actually upgraded it, In P3 P4 and Nocturne, they had an auto but it just made them do basic physical attack. And this totally awesome, it gives us the ability to assign skills and item using and, of course, Basic attack. Man, I gotta give it to Atlus this time, full voice? Not even the Japanese version has it, that is something new. U.S.A getting something Japan Did not. Rock on Atlus. SMT forever.

I can't tell, but are battle mechanics the same, or similar to persona 3 or 4?

It should hae been obvious from the video that they're not. battles are on a grid, and each character and their weapon have a specific range, and if the enemy isn't in the range, they can't hit them. There is no press turn system. If you are hit with your weakenss, it simply hurts you for a lot more than a normal attack. You input the whole team's commands at once, and then the order of execution is determined by agility stats. And they're all random battles, unlike P3 and P4.

Also, as they mentioned, you can negotiate with demons instead of fighting. This can be done if you're weak and don't think you can win the fight (but if you make them angry they go into berserk), or to gain spell cards. You don't automatically get new Persona Cards after battle like P3 and P4, so negotiating for the Demon's cards is the only way to get new personas for Fusion.
