A leading airline without proper customer service. I have only one question regarding an advert on one of their websites, but I don't find any way to get the info - websites are suggesting me to contact the local branch, but they doesn't have the slightest idea about anything when you call them. No other option available.

Lufthansa is a great airliner. BUT: they should invest a bit more in training their crew to be more friendly. Lately I've been flying with Qatar, Thai, Gulf Air, Turkish and Emirates (and a few more) and there is day and night difference. Maybe because the Lufthansa crew is older (in age) they forgot the words SMILE. (said by a Frequent Flyer member of Lufthansa)

2. Langstreckenflug Entertainment alte Röhrenkästen an der Decke, sollte es Farbe sein?

3. Sehr unfreundliches Kabinenpersonal, liegt vielleicht an den Arbeitsbedingungen?

Die Lufthansa ist die beste und sicherste Airline der Welt. Ich bin schon oft mit LH geflogen und fliege auch nichts anderes mehr. Bei der DLH ist die Werbung auch die Realität. Der Service und der Komfort sind einfach spitzenklasse. Die Lufthansa kann ich nur empfehlen und der slogan der Airline ist zu 100% treffend: THERE´S NO BETTER WAY TO FLY. Leute fliegt mit LH und ihr werdet mit keiner anderen Airline mehr fliegen wollen.

Aha, und was ist an Emirates bitte so toll? Meine Firma hat mehrere Verträge mit Fluggesellschaften u.a auch Emirates. Emirates ist keine schlechte Airline, aber SIA ist meiner Meinung nach um einiges besser. Wobei es wirklich immer darauf ankommt welches Flugzeug man erwischt.

I took LH. its ok but nothing special. I prefer the asian ones like Cathay, Singapore or asiana. i know everybody is sayin that, but its true, the service qualitiy on asian carriers is just somewhat different (better). U get more for the same amount of money...

Fifth best airline? Hmmm..maybe in Europe. As for intercontinental flights they are not even up to the average as far as their dreadful inflight entertainment is concerned. Other service is allright. Having said that, I must say that Lufthansa A340-600 and A330-300 aircrafts are - though not on par with Singapore Airlines - defintately in the top group.

naja das stimmt wohl nicht ganz, seit der neugründung 1955, gab es bisher 7 totalverluste, bei 6 sogar mit todesopfer. allerdings war der letzte absturz 1993 (Airbus A320)!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude,seriously,the greatest LH service is provided on "long routes" (wie Du sagst "Langstrecken"...)I have no idea what happened to you on your flight,but anyway I love LH and since Im working on my dream of becoming an airline pilot at this time,I would love to fly for Lufthansa in the future.And apart from that,the longest flight with LH for me was the Frankfurt Main - Denpasar(Bali),couple years ago and it was the best "LR" flight ever...And even other flights with LH were great...

I flew business class from Calcutta to Frankfurt...

That was so nice,there were buttons,which moved your seat to any angle you wished!And another button transformed the Seat into a bed,totally flat!Aaah,actually we planned economy class,but there were some seats free:)

momentan findet bei lufthansa gerade ein testlauf mit inseat videos in der m-class statt. ab spätsommer werden dann zunächst alle airbus langstrecken flugzeuge (A330, A340-300, A340-600) mit inseat video ausgestattet, danach sukzessive auch die B747. erfahrungsgemäß dauert die umrüstung der gesamten flotte zwischen 12 und 24 monate. der sitzabstand bleibt übriges in der m-class so, wie er war: im benchmark gutes mittelfeld.

Je nachdem mit welchem Flugzeug man interkontinental fliegt, haben die bereits personal screens. Beispielsweise in allen A340-600 (dem übrigens immer noch längsten Flugzeug der Welt - da kommt der A380-800 nicht ran)

Vielleicht sollten die sich mal um ihre interkontinentalen Flüge kümmern. Da ist die 3. Klasse somit das schlimmste, was man so auf dem Markt bekommt. Noch nicht mal persönliche Bildschirme die schon seit Jahren bei eigentlich allen Konkurrenten Standard sind. Die regionalen Flüge bei Lufthansa sind hingegen sowieso schon gut. Da hätte man die Verbesserungs-Prioritäten anders setzen sollen um Konkurrenzfähig zu bleiben.

@crackZbyGulli in a340 & a380 are personal inflight entertainment system displays, and in planes like airbus a320, boeing 737, and bombardier crj900 you dont need an personal display cause the flight is short. and, there dont are many or ANY airlines that have in all or many planes an personal display. by the way, lufthansa is a good airline, like one of the best in the world. it is a member of star alliance, one of worlds largest alliances. and the pilots will never fail. so shut up.

Bin schon mit der neuen Business- class auf dem Airbus A321 nach FRA geflogen. Ein wirklich deutlicher Unterschied zu damals der alten Bestuhlung!! Klasse ;-)
