I can't tell you how many times I've had to pull out my work or add more yarn to the loose end when casting on with a tail because I ran out of tail! this cast on will save much frustration in the future! thank you

Your voice is so calming. I tried this cast on and find it extremely hard to knit the first row. It seems backwards, the loops. I'm a new knitter so that may be why though. Took me forever to knit the relatively short row of co stitches. :P I'm not making anything really right now, just practicing so it's not a big deal. Thanks for this video!

This was so helpful! The written instructions for a toe-up sock I was trying to follow said to M1 at beginning and end of row using a backwards loop right and a backwards loop left. This video gave me the visual I need to do both. Thank you!

thanks for the video. it taught me to cast on but everytime I try to knit it gets all loose. what do I do?

@MsLizzy2010 --2 things~ 1--cast on snugger. (sound counter intuitive!) 2--cast on 1 to 2 few stitches than desired. work R1, and a the yarn between the stitches get long and sloppy--twist it into a stitch, put that stitch onto the left needle and knit it! 

a simple cast on isn't the best cast on for LONG (100 or more) stitches--
