One of my all time favourite players from one of my all time favourite teams (Germany's 1974 W/C side). No wonder Bayern Munich won 3 European cups on the bounce (74, 75 & 76). I wonder what he would be worth at todays prices. A kings ransom for a King of a player. Still with Bayern in a coaching role i believe. I hope life is keeping him well.

Comparing Ronaldo and Müller, is also stupid.

Müller is the best striker in the box, who has ever played. No one has ever had this kind of goalscoring ability since then. He could read the game like no one. He had a hard and precise shot, with both legs, and didn't make it more difficult, than it was.

Ronaldo was a fantastic forward in his younger days. And he could do a lot more with the ball, than Müller could. Both where world class attackers, but they cant really be compared

And i think you are way to young to know anything about how old heavy leather balls, and how they are to play with :-)

They recently made a documentary about the history and evolution of Football. 3 professional football players from the Bundesliga today, was given old leather balls and shoes from the 50ths, and 60ths. They could not even hit the ball properly, or make some normal driblings.

It was deferentially not easier to play at G.Müller times

Ronaldo for his 2002 world cup performance (8 goals in 7 games) 9.87

Muller for his 1970 world cup performance (10 goals in 6 games) 9.86

Backing up my claims that Muller AGAIN is a BETTER striker, Ronaldo is better overall player, but as goalscoring goes Muller wins.

Also you seem to be judging players by ONE world cup performance and not their whole careers.

Muller = Better goalscorer

@barbarash there you wrong. you missed the important fact and reason for my comment ^^. ronaldo is top 1 world cup scorer of all time with 15 goals. muller is nr. 2 after ronaldo with 14 goals. write top 10 world cup scorer of all time in google and you will see ^^. so he is actually a better player and better scorer :P but that doesn't means any disrecpect to muller. muller is still a great player and one of my favorits :)

If you look at Muller's goals he was untoucable in the box, he drew his markers away, could score with both feet and his head the true sign of a DEADLY striker.

Just because a player doesn't have beautiful skill doesn't make them any less effective. Ronaldo was a better FORWARD...creatively speaking, but goalscoring is the KEY to a great STRIKER the POINT is to put the ball in the net.

There is a difference between being a FORWARD and a STRIKER.
