First heard the original one by Ustad Amanat Ali Khan in 1988 & this reply (Jawab-e-Insha) in 1989 by Salman Alvi. Great Ghazal! Matloub Husayn Ali Khan ,UK..

Thank you verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr­rrrry much for uploading these verses i was frantically looking for. It is long back when I had heard this ghazal on PTV or radio pakistan (I don't remember) that Qateel Shifayee had written in response to Insha Jee's famous ghazal ' Inshaji utho kooch karo is shehar mai jee ko lagana kya", Ever since, it haunted me. So well written and so very well composed and sung. THANK YOU.

we all miss Inshaa Jee, one of the pioneer in comic urdu writing, a great writer and a wonderfull poet as well, just left us tooooo early, Allaha Inshaa jee ko jaware rehmat mein aalaa muqaam atta farmaey. Ameeen

We too miss Insha Ji ever so much. He was such a fantastic writer and poet. The way Insha Ji wrote Urdu is just wonderful. He has done so much for Urdu, he was a gem and afssoss keh hum sey bhuhat door chaley gey woh. May God bless his soul (Ameen).
