  • A question I posed to HP tech-heads, I bought a Compaq 6710b for a nice low price, however, I noted a battery terminal on the bottom near the port rep jack interface, It seems on Ebay they have an External battery that may mate to the bottom, I want to know some more about that?!? Hoping someone knows can answer ASAP

  • well how the hell does it connect to your lap top? through usb? through EDMI? E sata? i thought you couldnt charge your laptop through usb, and that has a dc acceptor so..... it cant connect through usb.

never saw the back of the device..

horrible video, answered none of my questions.

  • @vevenaneathna I'm sorry about that, but I think you may have confused the term "Port replicator" with "Docking station". A port replicator's only purpose is to replicate several ports through one single cable, and as mentioned at 0:10, it's using USB 2.0 to replicate everything else from Ethernet to VGA, DVI. It's not designed to also charge the device. For that, you need to go look for a docking station, something that is becoming less common these days.

  • Great technology..Hope it would be sold as an indvidual accessory..
